doesn't work for me

So gorgeous on my friend that I just had to try it, this foundation does not work for me at all. It just sits on the skin in a greasy mess and never seems to dry, making me look greasy and shiny from the get go. I much prefer Make up for ever Face & body which has more coverage without the wet finish. This obviously works for many, I am just sad it didn't work for me.

Natural. Coverage.

Nom, nom, nom!

Have a face good enough to eat! Dewy, not oily. Natural, but enough coverage.

No seriously, I really only bother to review things that I am truly impressed by, so you know when I've selected 5 stars that the product really deserved it.

Have had this now for about a week, but so many good things to report I couldn't contain my excitement to do a review instantly! Ladies, there is a reason why MAC foundations have such hype!

This foundation provides:
- A very thin, light layer of natural coverage foundation
- Blends into skin seamlessly with no profesh application
- Enormous bang for your buck, the container is HUGE!
- Sleek and non-breakable plastic packaging
- Coverage will persevere through sweat and stress, ALL DAY!
- Goes on like tinted moisturiser so allow time to set and mattify

A few things to note:
- It doesn't have SPF in it, however you can just put on your normal SPF moisturiser underneath before application. Make sure it's been giving enough time to sink in so that the foundation doesn't become patchy.
- If you want light coverage but also want to cover eye bags, redness near your nose, etc. I'd encourage you to still use concealer but sparingly.
- You can only buy this from MAC pro stores in Australia. If you're in Melbourne that means Chapel St!

HG Foundation!

This is my HG Foundation - its your skin but better! It smells a little funny but most MAC foundations do - this comes in a massive bottle and will take ages to use, its definitely value for money.
It provides build-able coverage - that being if your only after a light cover, only apply one layer, if your after a bit more apply 2 or 3 where the coverage is needed. If you set it with powder the coverage lasts me all day, like other reviews have said applying it with your fingers is the best technique to apply the foundation as it gives a blendable flawless finish. Perfect for those with great skin, or those who dont like wearing too much makeup but want to wear something! Highly Recommend!

This is definately not any old foundation.

Let me start off by saying that Face and Body has sheer-full coverage. When I apply a layer with my fingers, it provides a good sheer/ medium coverage and a dewy finish. I then set it with blot powder and it lasts the whole day. I also have quite combination skin so I am extremely impressed with this product. It comes in a massive 120mL bottle. a makeup artist suggested to me that I keep it in the fridge while having a small bottle of it in my makeup drawer as it tends to go off quickly.

GIve it a good shake before you use it and don't be afraid to see the foundation that looks like water. It will thicken once you apply it to your skin. This is truly an amazing product, my go to foundation. It also photographs really well because it has no SPF in it.

Wow!

So at first $60 does seem quite a bit for a foundation, but when you look at the result (and the actual massive quantity of the bottle!) its easy to see how worth it it is. The foundation went on so easily and gave a beautiful dewy finish that didn't feel heavy at all. I felt as if i wasn't wearing any makeup yet had perfect coverage! will be definately investing in this product again - so worth it

first foundation I have ever invested in and worthy!

I love this foundation. I have never used any foundations prior to buying this lovely find but I've been hearing such good things about this product that I insisted in flying all the way up to Sydney just to grab a bottle from the mac pro store in Paddington.

And ladies I am more than happy to report that I have not regretted it! The color I was matched to was C3 and it matches my skin perfectly. The foundation has a dewy finish to it and for those with oily skin or anyone who doesn't like it TOO dewy all over the face a translucent powder finish is recommended for the T zone.

I have used this foundation in two ways. One was just to slap it over my face with a foundation brush and secondly I mixed it with my SPF 15 moisturizer to make it into a tinted moisturizer. Works like a charm.

This foundation photographs beautifully and it is long lasting! My road test was to test it on a night out dancing the night away. As gross as this sounds surely when you've danced for a few hours you tend to sweat a bit and it was raining that night. I had the make up on from 8pm to 4am and it looked EXACTLY the same as when I had left the house!

This is an absolute must have as it is versatile in that you can build it up to a heavier coverage if you would like or make it sheerer with a moisturizer as I did. It has a lovely natural finish (been told that most make up artist use this foundation for bridal wear) and its simply awesome.

Amazing

I decided to splurge on this ($60 for 120mL) a while ago, and I'm really really glad I did. While the pricetag might be high, you do get a huge amount of product. The foundation does have a tendency to go off and separate after awhile though, especially in between seasons. I've found that putting it in the fridge does it good - it hasn't yet gone off for me.

Coverage wise, it is very light, and the product is very runny and watery - if you're looking for a medium/ full coverage product, this is not for you. It would work best on people who already have skin with minimal problems, and just want some help with boosting their complexion.

It leaves the skin with a dewy finish, and looks incredibly natural and glowy - I can't get enough of it! If I'm not wrong, this is the foundation used on Victoria's Secret models. Love it!

The only con is that this is hard to find- most MAC stores do not stock it, unless you go to a MAC Pro store.

Best ever!

This is such an amazing product! It goes on relatively sheer because it has a very thin runny texture. What is so awesome about it is that it is buildable so if you want more coverage you can acheive it easily without having to purchase multiple products.
I really love how weightless and dewy this foundation feels and applies on your skin. It is definitely one of my favorites.

A good multi-purpose foundation

This is a good product as with a light application it looks sheer, but if you build the product up it can give a heavier coverage. It is also really good if you are after a dewy look and looks great with cream blush and highlighters, but you can also achieve a nice matte finish with powder. It is long lasting and stays looking great throughout the day. At first I didn't really like this foundation because I thought it gave me a slightly greasy appearance and putting powder on top of it only served to wipe half of it off and made me look patchy. However, since putting it on with fingers and really working it into the skin I find it gives a near flawless coverage, and if you have good skin you don't need very much of it.
