My grandmother used to tell me, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." Great in theory, but not particularly useful when it comes to doing reviews. I was really excited about using the Revlon ColorStay Foundation, because I had heard almost entirely positive things about it on YouTube, and in all the top beauty blogs. Some even listed it as their "Holy Grail" or their favourite drugstore foundation. Well, all of those people must have a completely different skin type from the one I have. It is thick and gloppy and sticky, and hard to spread on my face, which is unheard of for me, as I have oily skin, so usually products slide right on a little too easily. I bought 110 Ivory which is the lightest shade that they offer in this formulation, and it was still too dark, and left my face looking dirty and unwashed. The scent was fine, as it is non-scented. The coverage was super full coverage, and the finished result made it look like I was wearing makeup created for the theatre (like very thick pancake makeup). Even though it did have long wear properties, it still managed to transfer onto everything, like my hand if I touched my face during the day, my pillow if I took a nap, and my husband's shirt if I leaned in for a hug. The pump dispenser was handy, but I found that it dispensed too much product with one pump, so I ended up wasting some product each time that I used it.
If you have already purchased it, and don't want to toss it, save it for the nighttime .The lighting is more forgiving, and you won't be able to see the product that has settled into your pores and fine lines as easily.
Nobody. Sorry, I just can't recommend this product.

My favourite foundation ever!
Ever since I started wearing make up the only issue I ever had was trying to find a foundation that sat on my skin well, suited my complexion and wasn't too cakey or too lightweight.
This foundation is one I always find myself coming back to, again and again! I first used it two years ago and loved it then went to repurchase it and it was sold out so I tried the Revlon Colourstay New Complexion which was also great, however not better than the original. Then I finally picked up another bottle earlier this month and found myself once again loving it and I forgot how many compliments I get when I wear this foundation.
I use the shade 180 Sand Beige and it's my skin colour exactly! Which for me is such a relief!! I often get comments like 'Your foundation matches your skin exactly!' or 'Are you wearing foundation?' because it looks so flawless and natural!
Using a Damp Beauty Blender sponge really makes this foundation look flawless, I haven't used any other sponge with this as I love my Beauty Blender so much .
Anyone who likes a Medium to Light Full Coverage foundation.. depending on how much you apply as it's easily build able without it resulting in too much on your face! :)

This is the only foundation that will stay on my skin all day and will still look freshly applied! Other foundations will easily rub off and feel oily on my skin but not revlon colour stay. I recommend this for anyone who wants a foundation that is in it for the long haul! The best part is that even though it will stay on the face all day it is easily removed at the end of the day.

I find that this foundation doesn't ware off during the day, completely evens out my red skin tone and has an amazing coverage.
It does dry faster than other foundations, leaving not a lot of time for blending, but once you get the hang of it, it's okay.
I use a flat-top kabuki brush to blend, and I found that when I used my fingers it didn't blend out evenly

Keeps the oil away
I keep buying this one as it feels really comfortable on your skin. I apply before work with the matching powder and don't reapply throughout the day, come home and my face isn't oily at all. Good coverage and SPF as a bonus.

This foundation can look very cakey but maybe that's why it's meant to be for full coverage. You can't really sheer it out because it still ends up looking like you have foundation on your face. It still gets fairly oily , depending on your skin type and climate, but it looks extremely flawless when just applied. Covers redness or anything that needs to be covered very well. Its lasting power is pretty long, considering a drugstore product.
Ideal for all skin types really because it doesn't cling to dry patches anyway.

Revlon Colorstay foundation is a great foundation. I find that it stays on all day and prevents my makeup from rubbing off, especially when I use the Colorstay powder on top. It provides good coverage and makes my skin feel great. this foundation is a great consistency, making it last for about a month with daily use for me. This foundation is great for people with oily skin, for people with dry skin there is a Colorstay foundation for them too. I've used this foundation for a few years, mixing it up occasionally with the whipped Revlon Colorstay foundation and i will continue to use this foundation for ages.
Use the colorstay powder over the top and it will stay put all day.
Everyday wear or for going out.

HOLY GRAIL FOUNDATION
I absolutely love this foundation. I have combination skin my T zone is oily but my cheeks and the sides/around my nose are ridiculously dry. I use the combination/oily skin variety and find that with some moisturiser and primer I don't experience the flaking others have mentioned. It's not quite as full coverage as it claims but still covers most of my concern areas including pimples and dark circles. My favourite thing about this concealer is it long lasting-ness. I put it on before I start work in hospitality at 6 by 3am when I finish its still flawless and I'm still wiping it off the next morning at 12pm. I am quite pale however the Ivory shade I found to be extremely pink and so I use the Buff Chamois as it is more yellow based. I use a stipling brush to apply and get a great matte finish.
Works best with a brush.
Those who want medium-full coverage without the mask look.

Best foundation I've ever used!
My new HG foundation! Before purchasing this foundation I had heard that a lot of people have had bad breakouts from it, and I was worried because the last foundation I had (Rimmel Stay Matte) made me break out. I tried it anyway and have had no breakouts from it - if anything my skin has been better since using this. I really love that this foundation comes in two different skin type categories.
The shade I bought is Sand Beige, which is a perfect match for my skin tone - not too orange or pink. I did notice that when I was testing some other shades when deciding which one to buy, some of the other shades looked quite pink to me.
The packaging is pretty good, it is in a glass bottle with a pump. The consistency is nice; it's not too thick but it is a full coverage foundation. The finish is flawless. It doesn't look cakey, it feels light on my skin and it isn't too shiny (I set it with Rimmel Stay Matte Powder). It has a nice smell. It stops my skin from getting oily through the day and it stays put for the whole day, which is something other foundations I have tried have not really done. It is a little expensive compared to some foundations, but definitely worth the money.

Flakes on any hint of dry skin
I have tried this foundation in a couple of different colours. I have quite dry skin on my body, however my face is always completely moisturized. If there is a single speck of dryish skin, the foundation will flake up. By the end of the day, my forehead will be streaky and flaked. It's even worse with pimples, it simply refuses to cooperate.
Apply in stripes followed by a stippling brush or with a beauty blender for the smoothest look.
Good for normal skin, not for dry.
