The bold are not necessarily the more beautiful. Sheer make-up can help to accentuate your best features, as well as provide a more fresh and dewy facet to your look. They often say that less is more, so why not indulge in a few sheer pleasures that are sure to impart a subtle glow and make you feel positively radiant.
It’s time to get acquainted with six of the best sheer beauty essentials you’d be bonkers not to try…

MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder
“Okay so I only just realised that I need to start applying a powder after my foundation for it to stay longer on my oily skin (I know, I know, I don’t know what I was thinking beforehand) and this product is so amazing I am finding it hard to put into words.
I use MAC Studio Fix Foundation and even with a primer, found that towards the end of the day, my makeup was just sliding off. One of the girls at work told me it was a crime for me not to be using a powder to set my makeup so I gave it a try and haven’t looked back. For about a month now I have been using select sheer and its great! It doesn’t look cakey or powdery, just gives me a beautiful finish and sets my foundation perfectly.
I would definitely recommend this to any ladies out there with oily/combination skin and who need their make up to stay on longer throughout the day. Trust me, you wont regret it.” Rating 5/5 – Skinnystudd

I've been meaning to try out MAC foundations and powders for a while now. This week's as good as any to hit the Myer counter.

What a pity, I have dry skin and any form of powder ages me big time. I wish I had a combination skin that's for sure as mine just doesn't have that nice glow that comes with combo skin. You lucky girls! I would love to see this on someone, best I go and have a better look at a Mac counter!

I prefer a loose powder to set my makeup but I think this would be ideal for touch ups during the day :)

Sounds good but I'm wary of pressed powers with my dry skin too.

I'm with you Melmeko, loose powder is best. Also, I get tempted to carry makeup like the MAC pressed powder in my bag and then I knock around too much and presto... it's no longer pressed and just about falls out next time I open it.

This looks gorgoues BUT I have to say I have been using Stila Sheer pressed powder and it is exceptional. You can use it with just concealer, or nothing and it makes skin look so flawless with no powder/cake signs anywhere! LOVE it.

Oooh! Oily combo skin?! That's me! I think this would be great by the sounds of things. I've never actually tried any MAC either! (I know, doubly embarresssing!).

Tempted to try MAC do they still sell it at myer? I agree as I'm not a big fan of pressed powder, but I have heard good things about their liquid foundations.

I've heard a few people rave about this, but MAC prices in Aus just irk me too much.
