I don't have sensitive skin, but I can vouch that the Inika and Youngblood mineral foundations are amazing products. It's always good to avoid products with nasties if you have sensitive skin, I agree.

Try to avoid products with artificial fragrance, colouring and chemicals as much as possible as they irritate.

Its weird. Some products for sensitive skin cause me to break out in rashes and others loaded with chemical and peroxide don't affect me at all.

Unfortunately it's often a matter of trying a product in a patch test to ensure it doesn't create havoc with your skin.

I believe (from personal experience) that if you know your skin is sensitive to certain cosmetics, you should get a small sample of it to test it prior to purchasing it. If it is a decent retailer, they won't mind.

I do not have sensitive skin thank goodness. My only suggestion for people with sensitive skin is to find out exactly what ingredients flare up your skin. Knowing the ingredients that are the cause of skin flare-ups, can sometimes help to eliminate problems happening with skin, you know what products to steer clear of.

Because I have dry skin, I tend to be cautious of dry foundations.

My skin is sensitive and I think it is really wise just to stop using any product that causes a flare up no matter what it cost. But I'm sure these products would be great for sensitive skin.

My best tip for sensitive skin would be to use minimal products and I'd start with the gentlest of cleansers.

Great read, thanks BH - I agree with Sandra about finding out just what irritates your skin, but that isn't as easy as it seems with multiple ingredients in an individual products. These products all look like they are worth checking out.

I can't use power foundation as it tends to dry my skin quite a bit.

I always use mineral make-up as i like the control i have with the easier application, with a great brush. The one i have been using is from Rimmel but i just found out that they dont make it any more so i hope i find one that i like pretty soon . Yes i wish that some had samples as well or a trial as i just dont know which one i would choose
