Tell me if this sounds familiar: you’re going on holiday and you literally can’t wait. You get your suitcase out, get your clothes together and start to pack – and all of a sudden you find yourself in a very tough situation. The type of situation that leaves you feeling hot with panic. You call one friend after the other asking for advice, but the fact that they all give you different answers just makes things worse. Your head starts overflowing with different holiday scenarios and you wonder if excess baggage costs are really as high as everyone makes out…
If you haven’t yet guessed what I’m going on about, I’m talking the common crisis every beauty junkie is bound to face at some stage of their lives – that is, which cosmetics to take on holiday and which to – gasp – leave behind.
It may sound simple enough, but take it from someone who’s been there (way too many times) – it can cause even the most levelheaded of girls to lose it on the bathroom floor.
And since we all know that too much stressing and sobbing will only leave us with puffy eyes, wrinkles and rivers of mascara running down our cheeks, we thought we’d provide a solution. So get your pen and paper ready, because we’re about to reveal the essential cosmetic companions – for any type of trip…
Romantic getaway

This cosy break requires products that leave you looking and smelling gorgeous, without requiring hours in front of the mirror. You’ll have…erm…other things to do after all…
Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Power-Cream Wash – there’s nothing sexy about a surprise breakout. Keep this wonder wash with you throughout your trip and you’ll keep pimples at bay.
COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast Eyeshadow – you’ll be able to create sultry, smoky eyes in minutes with these easy-to-blend double-ended eye colours.
BECCA Lip & Cheek Crème – there’s nothing more alluring than a soft feminine flush. Dab a bit of this double-duty crème on your lips and cheeks for an instant pretty pink colour injection.
Jo Malone Honeysuckle & Jasmine Cologne – this bouquet of subtly scented flowers will leave you smelling utterly irresistible.
Ecoya Natural Soy Travel Tin Candles – these travel-sized candles are light enough to be slipped into your bag and will set the mood in minutes.

It would have to be the honeymoon!! 3.5 weeks in Thailand and malaysia, no expense spared (though in Thailand you can spare no expense and it still doesn't cost much at all!!). A close second would be our trip to Vanuatu. We were stayng in overwater bungalows and thats where we got engaged...all whilst sipping cocktails on the blacony over the water as the sun set - very romantic (but then afterwards we went to the sports bar and watched the day night crickter match between Australia and NZ...and they lost!!)

My fiance and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary in Bali back in 2007. It was amazing, elephant riding, pampering. On the actual day of our anniversary, we did jet skiing together and for dinner, he organized a candlelight dinner on the beach restaurant at our resort. Was such a great romantic night

Hubby took me away for the week-end in June to just forget about medical happenings in my life and it was just lovely.

Most romantic holiday I had was my first holiday with husband (then boyfriend). We went to Germany in winter (european winter) and traveled for a month. We didn't have anything planned, we just wanted to get away together. One of the most romantic moments I remember is waking up at 5am to the soft sounds of snow and church bells in the distance... We could hear through the wall that people in the next room were making coffee... it was the perfect winter morning!!

My boyfriend took me to a B&B in the Hunter Valley during our first year of dating. All we did was eat, drink and... well you get the picture!

Our honeymoon - Turtle Island, Fiji. We were taken to a private beach each day that we had to ourselves, complete with lobster and champagne.

My lover took me on a 4-day vacation to Margaret River Perth WA. Although there are some Capfantastic activities to do and see (and did I mention ... DRINK ;-p) in Margaret River, we spent most of the time in the little hotel room in various poses. ;-p). Lucky for me I had ALL my make-up and skin care with me, as my skin felt red raw at the end of the trip ;-p). Next holiday we're going outdoors.
