How-to: create a big, bold stare

If you weren’t sure of which trends to look out for this chilly season, let me make it easy for you. Big, bold block colour is massive this winter. That much was made clear at a recent beauty event where I witnessed almost
every single beauty journalist (including myself) teaming black opaques with a splash of colour in either a skirt, an eye-popping blazer or a show-stopping eye shadow.
Watch on as I show you how to adopt a block-coloured eye look using the new Molten Metal Eyeshadow duos from Revlon…

Which is your favourite metallic shade to wear?

Nice one Liv! I have green eyes and red hair, so I go for coppery bronzey metallics. Love the Revlon nail polish in this range - Copper Penny, mmmmm...

Nice demo Liv! Those colours look fab on you! Bronzey metallics look the best on my brown eyes, so I'd go for shades like these.

Great tips! I need to try some experimenting now I think. I love the smokey look and all the purple type colours.

Thanks for all the tips, Liv. The Revlon duos look so cute. I like coppery/gold/bronze and emerald green shades for my eyes.

Stunning on you Olivia! That eyeshadow look really suits your eyes colour/overall colouring. I love playing with metallics too sometimes. I go with the classic metallics like the silver, bronze, gold and various shades of pewters. These seem to suit me/my age and I feel confident wearing them when I'm in the mood for metallics!

Tried this look on me earlier today, but didn't look as good as it does on you. I tried it with one of my Dior palettes because I have a dark blue shade and a white, which are both shimmery. I love the colours though so will continue to experiment with that look.

Great tutorial, such thorough explanations :) Really appreciated the comments about how you only applied the eyeshadow to the outside and blended inwards

Nice one Liv, I loved seeing your technique with your fingertips as often forget my make-up brushes when I stay at the bf's house and this is my only way to apply. I love most metallic shades and have played around with a lot over the years, I recently dyed my hair red and so bronze metallics are suiting me a lot at the moment.

I love metalics and i have a few my favorites are the bronzes and the copper looks. I also like to use metalic eyeliners. So that if i dont have alot of eye shadow on I use a metalic eyeliner to frame my eyes with a metalic eyeliner....I use green, silve, gold. bronze, and blue. So that if i dont want the whole metalic look i just use the eyeliners.
