It must be love

The minute I saw this image I gathered my make-up staples and raced to the nearest mirror to try my hand at recreating the look - and let me tell you, it couldn’t be easier to achieve. Here’s how to do it:
1.) Create a flawless, creamy complexion with your favourite foundation and concealer, using an illuminating pen to eliminate any shadows from around your eyes.
2.) Sweep a light gold shadow across your eyes, blending the hue all the way up to your brow bone*.
3.) Using a black liquid liner, and working from the inner corner of each eye outwards, draw a thin line across your top lashes, flicking it gently upwards at the outer corner of each eye to create a ‘winged’ effect.
4.) Once you’re happy with the shape of this initial line, you can then keep tracing over it to increase the thickness.
5.) Finish with a slick of black mascara and touch of nude gloss on your lips.
Nail note: Recreate this uber-fab two-tone nail look by teeming your fave metallic hue with darker tips. Simply paint your entire nail with your shimmery shade then, once dry, place a paper stencil over your nail (so that only the tips are showing) and carefully apply the darker polish to the tips.
*This particular eye look was created using Chanel Ligne et Ombre de Chanel in Jet-Gold – a duo palette that contains a gold eye shadow and a black eyeliner.

Have you ever experienced love at first sight?

Many times! I am a sucker for great packaging - it takes a lot of will power to not impulse buy. This is a stunning look, I am going to try recreate it too. Thanks for the step-by-step guide Deb!

I've experienced lust at first sight...particularly for prestige makeup! Right now, I'm lusting after and saving for that Dior Duo De Gloss that Liv twitpiced last week! I'd LOVE one!! I also recently bought a few pieces from Revlon's new Illuminance Collection. Soo pretty and quite affordable!
I'm not a fan of this Chanel look, even though I like to wear gold eyeshadow and nailpolish. : )

The hair is very distracting for me, I missed the eyes at first. Does it remind anyone else of Amy Winehouse's beehive?
I've been trying to get the perfect winged eyeliner look and was practising over the weekend as I don't usually wear eyeliner (they smudge on me too much with my oily lids). I thinkIi've improved but not yet mastered it. It is hard to get a consistent line on both eyes and also eye shape plays an important part on whether it is easy or hard to recreate a particular look.
I'm going to give this eye look a try tonight with my next practice run.

I like this look and the nail polish tip! I have alternating green/gold nails at the moment (go Socceroos!) but might switch to this style next, metallic gold/yellow with green tips or vice versa. I like the way the eyes are so clear and dramatic in this pic, thanks for the how to :) My love at first sight is usually perfumes (such yummy scents & great bottles), and gorgeous DIOR, Chanel, Sisley- all the things that seem stuck on my wishlist. A Bobbi Brown shimmer brick or foundation would be Lovely too ♥
