Three ways to wear lashes

Ah, false lashes – used by many a celebrity, but feared by most mere mortals.
For those of you who are a bit apprehensive, check out Deb and Liv’s lash how-to here – you’ll see, it’s not so scary. For those of you who have the technique down-pat, here are three lash looks to recreate…

Natural and flirty
For lashes that will stand out, without packing too much of a punch, follow Christina Applegate’s lead. Her lashes add a bit of volume and definition to her eyes and complement her soft make-up without looking too OTT. We love: Revlon Lashes Fantasy Lengths Self-Adhe sive Lashes in Flirty.

Sexy and smouldering
Sometimes y ou need a bit m ore than lashings of mascara to create the perfect nighttime look. To achieve the same full
-fluttered effect as Kim Kardashian, opt for slightly thicker lashes that add extra volume and length. We love: Manicare Glameyes Fashion Lashes in Jessica.

Cool and quirky
If you’re feeling a bit on the adventurous side, there’s no shortage of wacky lashes to try
– from feathered and coloured, to metallic and Swarovski encrusted. So if Lady Gaga is your inspiration, why not try something more dramatic? We love: 1000 Hour Artificial Lashes Colour Lashes in Blue Wave.
Check out what some of the bh beauties can do with false lashes in their EOTD (eye of the day) forum thread…

Heated eyelash curler (from 1000 hour) so far my best weapon to create lashes that pop on days i do not feel like wearing falsies and in the mood for a little ooomph, really opens up my eyes. Or individual lashes they are fantastic!! and naturale.

I've always wanted to try the coloured or glittered lashes but wuss out at the last minute. i'm a big fan of the Revlon lashes, but i use a bit of glue on them instead of relying on the adhesive alone, and they last all night.

I've never tried wearing lashes....but I did love watching Deb and Liv's video ages ago on how to do it. All I use is my Revlon Mascara and that does a great job for my sparse lashes.

A great mascara goes a long way for creating nice lashes I think. I'm loving a few good ones currently which include Bad Gal Lash by Benefit, Covergirl Lash Exact, Covergirl LashBlast Length and Maybelline the Colossal Volume Express. They're all good ones just to name a few! I'd be comfortable with the Christina Applegate look for myself out of those three beauties.

an eyelash curler is a must to make eyes pop. i also tend to make y eyelashes fan out so that they re longer at the ends.

An eyelash curler is my must-have too. I love false eyelashes, but can't seem to get the hang of them though!

Not a fan of the Kim K' lashes lol bit scary I think just a few extra coats of mascara on the edges to make them flick, and if needed individual lashes where lashses are abit sparse looks nice :D

Now that I have seen that tutorial video I may be able to give my lashes some pop with fakies, but before today I should used a revlon mascara which worked quite lovely!

Falsies, I save them for occasions :] ...Or, during the day,to match myoutfit in particular. I'm working on using falsies for the lower lash line at the moment, I've seen that you can actually use upper lashes on the lower lash line if you know how to work your black eyeliner....

I own false lashes but to date I've been too scared to use them. I prefer just a great volumizing and lengthening mascara.

I have never tried false lashes or an eyelash curler for that matter, so I think it may be about time that I do. :)

I cut the false lashes in half and glue them to the outter part of my lashes! Gives a seductive cat-eyed look!

I just curl my lashes and apply upto 3 coats of mascara! I have fairly long eyelashes so they're dramatic enough just with mascara alone.

I don't have an eyelash curler! I do like a great mascara and the careful steady hand I use to curl and thicken my lashes so they pop. I love some of the feathery, sparkly, colourful Shu Uemura lashes, they are amazing. Not something to wear day to day but for the right occasion- stunning!
