Brow – ka-pow!

Gosh, darn it fickle fashion, will you make up your mind, one minute they’re thin, one minute they’re bold, next they’re in, now they’re out. The brow I’m talking about, in case you can’t keep up with the frantic pace.
It’s another upshot of the GFC, surprise surprise. Make-up artist extraordinaire Pat McGrath worked the fall Balenciaga and Prada catwalks, both of which displayed bleached-out brows, and said, "The current economic troubles open people up to be more daring and willing to don cutting-edge looks.” But how well will it work on the street? I weighed up the pros and cons.
Reasons to indulge this rather zany trend…
1. Well you will be bang on trend. Models such as Agyness Deyn, Lily Donaldson and Linda Evangelista have all gone sans brows recently.
2. Queen Hermonie did it. Yes she-that-can-do-no-wrong, Miss Emma Watson, had her brows whitened out for a recent Crash photo shot.
3. You can’t claim “old age” as a reason not to do it. ‘90s model Kristen McMenamy, who is 42, appears on the cover of Italian Vogue eyebrowless.
4. Quite possibly the most fashion-forward person on the plant, French Vogue Editor, Carine Roitfeld, once advised Lara Stone to bleach her brows. This year she was all over the Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier and Prada runways. So that’s the way to do it…
Reasons to run for the hills…
Need I actually list them?
If you do need further warning, even little Hermione struggled to look crash hot and she possesses a touch more beauty than most of us mere mortals. And take a look at yours truly below indulging in the trend with a bit of help from our friend Photoshop. Not my finest look, I’m sure you’ll agree.

How much do you care about your eyebrows? Would you dare to bare?

Theres no way i would go browless, i have thin eyebrows and lucky for me i don't have to pluck them very often, i don't think its a nice look to be browless.

Hmm, I don't think so! I haven't spent years getting my Eye Brows into a perfect arch, just to bleach them! I think it looks freaky & odd, I'll give this trend a miss thanks......

Actually, Sarah, I don't think the browless look is that bad on you, it makes you look like an early teen! You do look alot more sophisticated with your brows though. Do you think that everyone is aware of this trend and not just the fashion-forward "in" crowd? If I leave my blonde brows as they are I end up looking like a gecko, and that's not pretty!

I wouldn't go browless!! I'm obsessed with my brows. I wish I had more of them. After years of plucking them, they haven't grown back completely. My favourite brow pencil would have to be Clinique's fine brow pencil in soft brown. It's perfect for my brows.

I don't think we'd be able to express a lot of our emotions without our precious eyebrows. I know us women arn't allowed to have body hair, but let us keep our eyebrows, geez!! Who makes us these stupid trends!?

I would NEVER get rid of my brows, or make them look invisible. Thats just stupid!
They frame your face/. You either look agressive or emotionlesss without them.
Plus they serve a purpose similar to your eyelashes - to protect your eyes from unwanted particles.
Besides, its another feature to play with and highlight on your face! Who wants to take away fun?!

tbh I don't think it really matters - it depends on how you want to make a statement
It's just another option, like most trends, to look different.

I'm with the majority on this one and won't be sporting a bleached brow look, even if it is on trend! I agree with what PPP has said, the eyebrows frame your face! Sarah in the browless picture you still look hot, but your eyes stand out less.

Sorry, I think the look is bizarre....... not that I haven't accidently adopted this look when I got some foundation in the brows, but it's definitely not a look of choice for me.

i thought eyebrows were there to help shape your face- it looks like you loose alot of definition and shape and your eyes fade away. I think go for it if you have bold and have the guts- but i like having my eyebrows
