How-to: maintain eyelash extensions

Tips for making your eyelash extensions last longer
Not all of us are born with Zooey Deschanel-style floor-sweeping lashes. In fact, most of us aren’t born with anything even close. So really, it’s no wonder that eyelash extensions are fast becoming the must-have eye accessory for ladies that want show-stopping lashes.
To test out the trend, we sent bh’s Natalie off to receive her very own set of Xtreme Lashes eyelash extensions. These babies are single synthetic strands that are applied one by one to help you achieve a thicker, more luscious-looking set of lashes – while still maintaining a natural lash look and feel. Each set of eyelash extensions can last for up to two months, but to ensure they stay put for as long as possible, we recommend using specialised aftercare products.
Watch on as I show you how to use the Xtreme Lashes Aftercare Essentials Kit to help you get the most out of your eyelash extensions…

Great video Deb & Nat! Have to say though that considering what's required to maintain them, they're not for me - my regime takes me long enough as it is. Nat's lashes look amazing though :-)

They look great but not something I would do. Shame we weren't born with great lashes, it always seems the boys get these.

Wow this seems like a lot of effort. I have never worn false lashes, I do have some but I think I would only wear them on a special occasion

I have worn false eyelashes a few times. They tend to feel heavy and irritate my eyes. I prefer an eyelash curler and a good mascara

Those lashes look so natural. I wish I was naturally blessed with lashes like that. Why is it that boys seem to be the ones who get born with them! Such a waste!!

Your lashes look amazing Nat! However, it seems very high maintenance and I fear that having eyelash extensions might do more harm in the long run.

I've wanted to try lash extensions for a while now because unlike false lashes, they seem to look more natural. I think I might get it done in China as it is much cheaper there

I would love to try these. I'm put off by the cost though, and the fact that everyone says that it's impossible to go back to "au naturel" once you've tried them.

Ha, ha! Katek, I agree with you, why do so many boys have such great lashes?

I try to maintain salon treatments by following the care directions given to me by the person at the Salon. Doing the right thing with treatments means the results stay great and last longer because of a little TLC.
