How-to: lash and brow DIY dyeing

3 reasons why every girl should learn how to DIY dye their own lashes and brows:
1.) It’s way more cost-effective than booking in to see a beautician every month. Plus, it means you can tint your lashes and brows from the comfort of your own home, at a time that’s most convenient to you.
2.) If you decide to change your hair colour you can make sure your lashes and brows match the change (black brows with red hair is never a good look!).
3.) If you’re a blondie like me, darker lashes and brows will always be in demand. Not only will darkened eyelashes make your eyes look super-sultry, but they’ll also let you leave the house sans mascara, without looking like you’ve lost their lashes.

Forgot all about this product - thanks for the reminder bh :-) My brows could do with some darkening, I have to "create" them every morning - they're blonde and barely visible, and having brows first thing in the morning is sure appealing. This process looks really simple too, although I wish they had something a bit lighter than brown-black. Has anyone tried this product yet?

Oops just noticed it comes in a dark brown - still sounds a bit too intense for me, but the price is excellent so I'm game to try :-)

I'd love my eyebrows to be slightly darker, but I'm worried they would be way too dark and it would look awful!

Before you rush out and buy 1000 hour - there are a few things you should know - the reason therapists charge what they do for a lash or brow tint is because they are trained in the correct application. During which they are taught to never tint a client with their eyes open. If you watch the instructional video on the Belmacil website www.belmacil.com you will notice just how different the application techniques are. I would always visit a therapist for this treatment - plus their formulation is designed to last longer than 1000 hour. Faby is right - so many things can go wrong!

I use to tint my own lashes and eye brows using 1000 hour till I developed a very nasty reaction to the formula!

I have very dark hair and brows, so I don't think I'll be needing this. But I have friends who get their lashes tinted, so I might show them this :D

I have dark eyebrows and lashes and I have never considered dying or tinting them. I am happy enough to use coloured mascara for my lashes when I want a bit of a change.

As much as I would love to give this a go my fear of getting it in my eyes is too great - years ago I had a beauty therapist apply way to much which then seeped into my eyes, hours of pain I think I will stick with the Mascara for lashes and brows (which are fair so needs to be applied every day) :)

I wouldn't trust myself to do it on my own. Especially with something like this.

I always do my lashes. It's amazing how much difference it makes. I find it the colours too harsh for my brows though.

I have dark lashes and brows so i don't really need to dye them. I have tried eyelash tinting as my lashes can get a little fair on the ends. Hated it, got some in my eye, hurt so bad and i hated having to close my eyes while waiting for the dye to work. Maybe i just had a dodge friend helping though :P will stick to mascara i think.

I have very dark brows and pretty dark lashes too so I don't think I'd use this...I can see how it's easier than using mascara all the time though!

I have never DIY'd my lashes but I do dye my brows at home. Just mix, apply, wait 5-10 mins, done! Tip: apply vaseline/lip gloss around the eyebrows so the dye doesn't stain the skin.
