How-to: get seriously highlighted cheeks

More so now than ever, I am loving the look of supremely highlighted cheekbones. The way the light hits them just makes you look oh so supermodel-esque, and helps me to make my sometimes-hidden cheekbones stand out proud.
I must admit, it took me a while to find a product that could live up to my gleamy demands day in and day out, but I’ve found it (and a few similar friends) that are more than up to the task! I particularly love MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Pearl from the new Semi Precious collection as it’s shimmery in all the right places with a hint of bronzer, so you’re not a total disco ball – just a bronzy, luscious contoured one instead. In a good way!
Watch the video above to find out how I reach illuminsed…

I love a bit of illuminator for a glowy finish to the skin. I think I need this product :)

Any type of illuminator whether it is skin cream, eye makeup, blusher or bronzer always helps me to achieve a radiant complexion. I have freckly skin and I have always used makeup illuminators to try to hide some of that, because freckles dont reflect light and can leave my skin looking dull.

this looks amazing! i have been searching for the perfect highlighter and have been using nars albatross - which i really love ! but this looks alot pinky-er and dewy. On my wish list ! I think it would look great on the inner corner of your eyes too!

Great demo - I am seriously considering buying a couple of those now! I've always wanted liquid highlighters to work for me but because I use quite a lot of foundation/concealer it always tends to make it rub off and look patchy and awful. I think I'll go down the powder route now as I think it will probably work better for me.

Hey Jannz, powders are great, but if you really want to learn how to use liquid illuminators then you can check out my how-to video here!

I love watching how people apply blusher/cheek colour so this was a great how-to video for me! Love the way you applied it and the effect it created on you Liv and now I know what to do with that funny fan brush I have!! : )

Just lovely Liv ! Great tips for a learner like me. The only way i know how to get a supremely radiant complexion is when i adhere to my skincare regime twice a day. I have stayed away from highlighting because of my lack of how to.

Thanks Liv. I might not give up on my liquid illuminators just yet then! Haven't managed to get mine to look like yours yet but I'll try laying off my powder a bit to see if that has an effect.

I go really easy with the illuminator usually, just a touch on my outer cheekbones, under my brow bone and a touch on the inner corner of the eyes, not much a fan of looking too shiny, my skin is naturally shiny anyway, hehe ;)

I would kill to have your complexion Liv. Great video and I will try and take your tips and practice.
I have all sorts of problems with blush application and always found I use too much or too little. I need to buy some more brushes I think.

That is seriously so pretty Liv. Makes me want one of those MAC powders. What's my secret to supremely radiant complexion? Well faking it generally, I don't think I normally look radiant unless I'm on holiday and have a bit of a tan.

On the outside, it's a dewy cream blush, a touch of illuminator along the tops of my cheeks, and a hint of bronzer framing my face. Underneath, I look after my skin with products suited to my needs, and regularly use face masques...
