Beauty update: lip service

Coco Chanel once said that ‘lips are the mouthpiece of the heart’, and if you love lipstick anywhere near as much as the Mademoiselle herself, you won’t be able to resist wearing your heart on your lips with Chanel’s new Rouge Coco line-up.
The range is specially formulated to smooth onto your smile with the pigment intensity of a lipstick, but to melt into your pout like a balm so you can achieve long-lasting colour and ultra-hydration.
Leaving out no fine details, the lipsticks are subtly fragranced with a hint of rose, raspberry and vanilla, and (this is my best part), also conceal a secret signature within the lid of each lipstick. How’s that for a little touch of luxury?
If a premium price tag isn’t up your alley, you can still indulge with the new Nougat London Luscious Lip Collection. Comprising a Gentle Lip Polish, a Luscious Lip Balm, and an Intensive Lip Treatment, this super-cute trio is the perfect companion for any pout in need of some TLC. Available in Sweet Rose or Sugared Fig (my fave flavour), they’ve fast become my desktop staple.
Not one to ever overlook the lip stain category, I also heart Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Sheer Tint Lip Protectant Stick and Bloom Lip Tint for a sheer touch of colour.

What’s your fave lip indulgence?

My pink Lancome Lip Lacquer called La Laque Fever! I just love it! It has comes in a sleek, silver tube with a little rose on its pink band. The gloss is super thick, shiny and luscious. Just gorgeous! : )

I have a Lancome lipstick that I really love - I think it's the most expensive one I own. It's bright, fuschia pink and very creamy and long-lasting (inasmuch as any lipstick lasts on me). I do love Chanel makeup though, so I'm tempted to splash out on one of these.

I love lip scrubs, especially ones with natural ingredients, there is nothing worse that having dry chapped lips.

That picture made my mouth water. Unfortunately, I can't afford it. My fave lip indulgence is stuffing them with chocolate LOL!

My most recent lip splurge was on Dior Serum de Rouge in Peach and Coral, the colours are fantastic and they're quite smooth and hydrating, Peach is my new fallback colour and I've been wearing it a lot. Thank god for GWPs.

I'v'e actually just written a review on it! I didn't realise I hadn't done this yet (I have several products on my review-to-do backlog!) so I've just reviewed my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Protectant Stick - which is simply my fave lip indulgence. The proof is in the (small) size of my existing one! i.e. I've used most of it all up!

haha Olive Oil you make me laugh :-D
And beauties if you love the Chanel lippies already, wait til you see the sexy new ad campaign - it features Vanessa Paradis (the lucky lady on the arm of Johnny Depp), singing a sweet tune as she applies her lipstick. She has a really unconventional look but it works so well in the ad. Let me know what you think once you see it...

Ooh these sound so nice! A bit pricey for me though lol! I love the idea of the hidden signature, such a cute touch! I love smothering my lips in Lucas Paw Paw Ointment, they look so shiny and it is really moisturising too! I also love lip scrubs.
