Wax lyrical: burlesque beauty, radiance boosters and MAC madness

Whether you’ve spotted a product that simply has to be on your Wish List or you want to sing the praises of a pretty product you’ve recently purchased – we’re listening.
“I was browsing through Target the other day (and can you believe it, was instantly drawn to the beauty department – go figure), I stumbled across the Australis stand, and although I’m well aware of the Mineral Inject range, the colours are just SO gorgeous: I splurged up, big.
“I nabbed two of the Colour Inject Mineral Lip Glosses in Burlesque and Moonwalk (don’t judge me, they smell like lychee and I go through them so quickly because I’m constantly licking them off!), as well as a lippy in Cha Cha and a few more shades for my mum and nan for Christmas – who understandably can’t keep their sticky paws out of my make-up bag!” – bh’s Olivia
“Dr Lewinns Instant Beauty Radiance Booster recently found its way into my beauty basket. I love it because it controls shine and makes your skin look and feel lovely. It’s a primer/moisturiser but isn’t oily and helps your make-up sit better.” – bh’s Natalie
“A friend gave me MAC Eye Shadow in Honey Lust for my birthday. I’d never used a gold eye shadow before: I have blue eyes so tend to opt for charcoals, silvers, navy etc... However, I loved the shimmery colour, handy packaging and MAC stays put all day. I’ve run out so it’s firmly on my Christmas List. I LOVE IT!!! (I hope that you’re reading this, Santa.)” – bh’s Kate
“Me, I'm going bonkers for Bourjois Vintage Collection Blush Pot. You may have heard me mention that I have a penchant for pretty cheeks and this little pot of perfectness will give me the rosy apples I desire. Plus, there's the added bonus that the pots are so cute they'll simply add a touch of vintage va va voom to my crowded dresser.” – bh’s Leanne

I sampled that Dr Lewinns Instant beauty radiance booster and it was great, reminded me of a slightly lighter consistency to Clarins beauty flash balm! Too broke to buy at the moment, last purchase was some Akin skincare (for Chrissie gift) am really keen to try some Jane Iredale products though!

Well now that I've well and truly spied Studio Secrets on BH, I would love to spurgle on some on my next beauty shopping trip! Suprised?! No didn't think you were, as I'm such a sucker for BH's campaigns. Lol! : D Also on my list of skin care to pick up is...hmm...Neutrogena's Fight and Fade gel! Not that I get any blemishes ever?! : ) I have just picked up some IZ this week. That's Invisible Zinc for those not in the know, because I just had to have some after reading all the forum raves on it! Thanks Beauties! I also bought a spare for the family, too. Just in case mine went walkabouts. : )

Last night I spent up big in Chemist Warehouse - most of it was on vitamins and antihistamines for my pesky hayfever, I swear! Although I can confess that one of the vitamins was Swisse's hair/skin/nails tablets, they look great and contain heaps of goodies for the skin.
I also bought the Neutrogena rapid clear for my partner - although I've admitted defeat in that he will never stop his picking, I'm hoping that this will help clear and fade them sooner!! Thankyou to the trial team for your wonderful reviews.
I also bought my second bottle of Skin Doctor's eyetuck - read my review of it, I love it!!
I also bought 1000hours brow/lash dye kit, thanks to the girls in the forums for their invaluable advice!!
I also bought vaseline to go with the above.
hmmmm.... this list is getting quite long! yes it was a splurge, but a worthy one at that :)
Happy shopping fellow BHers!!
Oh and as a last minute addition, I made my first Ozsale purchase and got Ultraceuticals eventone serum and the clear skin travel kit for a whopping total of $38.50 (the RRP for these two products is $195 - so you do the math on the savings!) I'm so excited, can't wait to recieve it :)
I've pretty much finished all my chrissy shopping already, so I'm not feeling TOO guilty hehehe...

I use to use Dr Lewinns Instant Beauty Radiance Booster and it worked great! I'm now using Face of Australis Primer as I like to switch between primers once I'm finished with one product.
I'm spending a lot at Priceline this week - mostly for stocking fillers for Christmas. Gotta love Christmas sales!

I just had to buy something in the new Palmers skincare range which is all under $13. I brought an eye cream last night from Priceline. If you buy two products from the range Priceline will give you a night cream for free. I tried the eye cream this morning and it feels lovely and hydrating :)

I've purchased some Graham's Alternatives Sunscreen SPF30+ mainly for my daughter who is sensitive to a lot of 'normal' sunscreens on the market. This brand really agrees with her skin and I purchased their Soothe It Gel as well as their new Shower Gel. Though I bought it for my daughter I'm going to see what it's like for me too!!

I bought 2 limited edition Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks in Nectar and Plum, they are so cute and come with a little black pouch. They hit the hip pocket hard at $120 each but I bought them last weekend when Myer had 15% off cosmetics so I actually SAVED $36 ;o)
