I 100% believe in a good nights rest....and also garlic! Nothing kills an early infection like garlic.

Agree - a good nights sleep is always important. I am a believer that hand sanistiser (my fav: Dettol Healthy Touch Moisturising) is an essential; important to disinfect the hands!!

It's horrible being sick...it seems like everyone around me is coughing and sneezing, sigh.
I've been lucky so far, nothing since December...which probably means I'll succumb soon, particularly as I haven't been sleeping well lately!
Definitely dosing up on the multivites though!

Actually off to get the flu shot this afternoon. My eldest daughter is asthmatic so she had hers last night. This helps ward about three of the big strains off! With the other sniffly viruses I find I don't get them very badly. I do try to stay healthy and gets stacks of sleep - I think winter especially we should make-like-a-bear! i.e. hibernate and enjoy the indoors a little more and get more sleep-ins if possible on the weekend.

I haven't been sick yet (touch wood) - but I've had a bit of a sniffly nose when I wake up in the mornings. I initially thought it might have been my cat who sleeps on my bed, but think it's more likely the drop in temperature. I think the plenty of fruits and vege things works a treat! It's the most effective defense against things like colds.

Hand sanitisers are the go and avoiding being too close to those who insist on being out and about when they're sick. Wish people would stay at home and rest when sick, people would recover more quickly and they wouldn't be spreading it around that way!

All these tips are very helpful, especially the destressing one which assists in so many ways. But it is sometimes so difficult to destress.

I truly believe in washing your hands regularly and keeping your home neat and tidy and dust free really helps as well as always eating as healthy as you can and getting regular exercise. :)

I have been taking Olive Leaf Extract for over 6 months now and I have not been sick yet and being an asthmatic I usually have so many colds or flus in that time. I also swear by Vitamin C.

Hygiene is very important in helping to prevent catching a cold. I nag my kids to continually wash their hands, get plenty of fresh air, excercise regularly, eat good food, and drink plenty of water to help all of the family from getting the winter sniffles. People need to learn to use tissues when coughing or sneezing to prevent germs spreading to others, especially on public transport.

Change your toothbrush regularly... especially if you've had a cold or flu! Who wants those nasty germs hanging around?

Always wash your hands though the day!!! Always try to have clean hands, like wash them every hour. I work in childcare and it helps to stop getting colds/flu, etc. Also vitamin C and garlic tablets help, along with a multivitamin if you are super busy!

Touch wood I haven't had the flu for 10 years and a cold for 2 years. All I do is always make sure I use a hand cleanser especially after those shopping trolleys, visiting drs and hospitals....almost anywhere.
