Have you ever looked in your fridge or pantry and just thought, “I know the food staring back at me probably isn’t the best for me, but I just don’t know where to start in changing it all,” then promptly reached for a chocolate bar? I know I have.
Which is why, when we decided to undertake this six week health and fitness challenge, I knew I had to call in the big guns to help me get my eating on track.
Watch our video to see what went down (or rather, in the bin!) when health and fitness expert, Lori Levin, came to my house for an impromptu pantry overhaul…

What's your vice when it comes to eating?

You are very brave letting Lori examine your pantry. My vice is in the freezer, rather then the pantry, which is ice cream. I have always loved ice cream since I was a toddler. As sugar is a major problem, I cannot afford to have any ice cream at home because it will be consumed immediately. So, I try and have a treat one day a week and go to one of my favourite shops, Trampoline, for a little indulgence. One thing that I am going to do to kick start my health/fitness challenge is substitute a meal for a shake. My local health shop recommended a product called 'Vital Strength' and, having read the brochure, I think I will try their shakes. This is not a long term solution but, as the shake has lots of protein and natural ingredients, I will give it a go.

I'm doing the health kick right now and I can't believe I haven't had any chocolate for over 3 months now. Just remember my motto....don't dine after nine. It sure helps me with not snacking past a time.

Oh no I just bought some ice cream and chocolate...besides that there's only fruit and water in my house to snack on. I was thinking of starting my own boot camp style regime after I finish all my exams in a few weeks. It may be a bit late by then...hmmm

My vice is Rye Bread and I really shouldn't eat any form of bread as this is where I gain puffiness, have allergies, it's just not good. I have cut it down to just have at Sunday breakfast and it makes a huge difference I have to say. I make myself exercise every day, with 15 minutes on my treadmill - walk, jog, sprint, then reps with hand weights and then some pilates to finish it off. If I can continue this routine I will be happy.

I love brussel sprouts and I know they're good for my health but unfortunately they also cause a bit of a bloated tummy so I'm calling them my vice.
I love pretty much all foods and I also love fitness, so when I put the two of those things together they seem to work for me. I need the energy to exercise and stay active and I need my exercise to stay fit and keep my appetite up or I get too skinny! Food and exercise work together well for me.

Bueno chocolates all the way!!! they are so evil.. That's why we don't normally have them in the house anymore but every now and then when I'm having a bad day my husband buys it for me to cheer me up lol :P We don't really have many things to snack on in the house, my daughter loves peanut butter but I can't stand it so it's not an issue for me :)
Good luck everyone and hopefully this weight loss will actually happen this summer :)

Love Dark Chocolate!!! Yummm...
Also if your making fresh juice, you should drink it within 20 minutes of consuming it otherwise you loose the vitamin and nutrient content. So don't make a big just and keep it in the fridge because you will just be drinking the fructose. Also Im a vegemite kid... So loving all the best's!!!

My problem is that I will go for a run, then come to a pantry so lovingly stocked with chocolate and biscuits and chips - and give myself a '"reward" for exercising!
