That's a really informative article - I learnt heaps about those shoes that I knew nothing much about really! I might have to get some now!! They looked good on too. Mmmm wonder what colours they come in!

i have a pair of sketchers shape ups, once i got my balance they've been nice to walk in. As for toning but and thighs, i'd say walking and squats.

I have a pair of reeboks with similar claims about extra toning. They seem to work because the following day, my butt and leg muscles always seem to feel a bit achey but to be honest I dont love walking in them because the instability always makes my feet feel sore at the end of a decent walk (usually 8-10kms)
Quick tone ups for butt and thighs? A stack of squats and lunges plus loads of water... oh and maybe some fake tan - being brown seems to be slimming :)

I've been tossing up whether to buy myself some of these toning shoes.. But I have a dodgy ankle which likes to roll every now and then, so might not be a good option if they aren't as stable as normal runners.

I actually found my butt and thighs to be the easiest place to work on. Weights are amazing!

You know what? As stupid as toning shoes are, if they get someone to exercise (what tones the body - not "toning shoes" lol) then go for it. Better than applying false claim creams and sitting back downing donuts wondering why the cream isn't working. *facepalm*. Anyway "fastest" way to tone butt is uphill powerwalking.

I think walking is a great toner for your bottom and thighs, legs as well. The other thing I find useful for keeping up a toned bum and legs is too walk up and down stairs, it is excellent for working different muscles in those hard to maintain areas. ###Sandra

Sounds almost too good to be true. But does it really do what it claims? Honestly, i just say the good old squats, leg lifts and such.

I saw these the other day in big W and remembered that BH did a blog post on them. But i got the version on their sandles instead, because they looked comfy.

What good value for a shoe that works your muscle a bit harder.
Deb your Thighs and Butt look good to me.

I try to power walk a couple of times a week and I also exfoliate my thighs and butt every time I have a shower.

Squats really do tone the hips and butt area but they're painful!

i have to say that i am lucky that i have a small frame and am not over weight i keep in good shape mostly by walking and i walk every day and i also do little exercisers while i am doing other things like squats when i am hanging out the washing instead of just bending down to get the clothes i squat down and get them and streach up when i hang them....and i put the clothes line up so that i am on my toes and this way by the time the washing is out i have done my squats....and i just find other ways of getting myself in shape while doing house hold chores and when you think of what you do during the day if you modify it it can be just like a work out. I have seen these shoes but as the weather is heating up i think the new sandles and a new type of thongs out do the same type of thing so i think that they would assist with your legs and are perhaps a good investment.
