not so keen on these ones, the black ones they make are so much better
I have very strong natural nails and I bought these as my regular black ones also made my Manicare were out of stock. I must admit I don't like these ones. They are too rough, both sides. Even the fine side is too rough, it leaves raggedy edges to my nails that I have to buff out (I don't have time for that!). The grit also comes off really easily, it's like I have sand in my lap after I use it. The grit and paper also separate from the board quite easily and after only one or two uses I have to throw them out. The black ones don't do this, they last many uses and the grit never comes away from the paper. I think these are more suitable for false nails, they seem to be tougher and more remove more nail than the other version.
be very very gentle when filing, be prepared to buff afterwards
use on false nails, they are pretty tough and gritty and remove lots of nail quickly

Manicare Emery boards
These emery boards are great value, nifty and do the job well ! I like to keep one close by as I have brittle nails that easily break and since using these emery boards my nails grow back quicker due to a more strict regimen of filing my nails more often since buying them. It's great value for money getting 8 in the resealable packet and you can keep them till you need to change them or handy to keep a couple in different places for easy reach.
One to two glides of the coarse side then a few of the fine side and your nails are looking good.
