Is this the end of smudged manicures?

Is this the end of smudged manicures?

All beauty fanatics will agree: it’s heartbreaking to get the perfect mani, only to smudge it at the last minute.

It’s enough to make a girl give up on the hope of flawless fingers altogether. But there’s a new product set to banish this beauty woe – a polish formulated to instantly fix that smudge.

Soon to be launched by USA-based beauty brand Londontown, the Kur Instant Smudge Fix is essentially promising the world…

So how does it work? Well, first you have to suffer the indignity of a smudge…

Once you’ve gotten over the horror, you first fill in the smear with the same nail polished you used for your colour.

Let it dry for about 30 seconds (which feels like an eternity, I know) and then swipe on the Instant Smudge Fix.

According to allure.com, after just 45 more seconds and a second top coat, your smudge will vanish.

Apparently, if you’ve only got a little dent and the polish is still mostly intact, it’s even simpler – just apply the Smudge Fix and you’re good to go.

The miracle product’s exact formula is top secret at the moment, but it’s been revealed it includes a bit of acetone and some other solvents.

Retailing at $14 US (about $18 AUD), it’s also not overly pricey for the relief it’ll bring.

Currently, the brand doesn’t ship to Australia (*insert sad face*), but we’re hoping it’s only a matter of time before it does – or even better, an Aussie brand comes up with a similar concept.

One thing’s for sure: it’d definitely make the emotional nail journey every girl goes through a whole lot easier!

Until then, we’ll continue to tread very carefully post-mani.

Do you have any good tips for fixing a smudged mani? What other beauty problems drive you crazy?
