Sparkle!!

I loved this nail polish. It's not really the colour I would usually use but giving it a go I found I liked it. It stayed on well and looked fab. Very sparkly! It dried relatively fast, lasted for a long time on the nail but was easy to remove when it needed to be. Very nice polish and I look forward to trying the other colours in the range.

Discovery Bag Trial

This polish comes in a reasonable sized bottle with a rubber grip lid top. Brush is a normal size but it makes the application of polish easy and fun.
Actual colour is the combination of blue and purple with silver sparkles/shimmer in it which makes it a very unique colour and it looks great in different lights.
The consistency is thick in comparison to many other nail polishes but it is helpful as you dont't have to apply lots of coats.
To get the proper colour 2 coats are enough and it did last for a good week without chipping. But due to shimmer particles it is difficult to remove.
Overall I am very impressed with this polish and definitely going to purchase other colours soon.

Unique shade, great staying power

This is probably the most unique nail polish colour I have ever come across. It is difficult to describe but I would say it is a denim toned nail polish that has silver, pale blue and grey flecks in it and also has an underlying purple tone to it.

I love the packaging of the picture polish nail polish. It comes with an easy to use sleek, black rubber handle which makes gripping the polish very easy. The nail polish brush made application very easy. They are nicely packed together and spread the polish evenly across the nails with ease. With just one coat I was very happy with the colour pay off of the polish. It leaves a lovely sheer coat of the shade. I also sometimes chose to apply two coats of the polish for a more opaque coverage and it still applied smoothly to the nail. The great thing about this polish is that because of the unique colour combination, under different lights the polish looks multi-faceted and picks up on different undertones at different times, making the polish very interesting.

The polish also had notably fast drying time. After two minutes my nails are dry to the touch, allowing me to carry on with my day which is convenient. A two coat application lasted me 4 days without any chips or cracks which was great, I was very pleased. Overall, an extremely unique nail polish to have in your collection.

truly unique!

This is a creamy light denim blue polish packed with blue microglitter and tiny silver flakies. The result is a gorgeous mid-blue with a lot of depth. It is quite matte without top coat, I find with top coast it really comes alive. i don't have anything else like this and I can't think of any other brand that makes something creamy-yet-sparkly like this is.

discovery bag

This gorgeous denim shade slightly thicker than regular polishes so it does have a longer drying time. But also works just as well in thin coats with a base coat. Funnily enough it lasted longer without chipping when applied in 3 sheer payers rather than 2 thicker coats for 3-4 days.The colour was a gorgeous cool toned blue almost a dark royal blue witk tiny sparkles which recieved many compliments. It would probablyvlook nice with a gloss top coat. I liked the rubbery top bottle, but not the brush which was slightly difficult due to the thin tip, it would probably be easier with a wider flat tip. Otherwise, im totally satisfied, shade, finish & all! Another highly reccommended.

Trial Team Review Discovery Bag

Out of all the products I trialed from the Discovery Bag the piCture pOlish in Denim would have to be my favourite. It comes in a super cute square bottle with a textured rubber top which is quite a nifty idea, as sometimes the applicators on polish bottles can become a little slippery when applying your polish.

This is an extraordinary lacquer that is thick and gel-like in texture with the added bonus of shards of glittery flakes. As for the colour, well that is amazing in itself. It's a cross between a medium blue almost periwinkle with a slight purple tinge, as well as the silver flecks of glitter scattered throughout this polish to give a glamorous multidimensional colour in any light.

Application of this polish is a little different to your normal mainstream polishes due to the thick gel-like texture. You can apply just one coat, however I found this to be a little streaky until you applied the second. Drying time is a little more and you must allow the polish to fully dry before applying the second coat, otherwise you will be left with a streaky texture instead of a smooth finish.

I applied this the first day it arrived on my toes and my finger nails the next day to see if there was any difference in the way that this polish wore, as well as it's staying power. After one week I had to remove the polish even though it was still as perfect as the day I applied it. The reason for this was to see how long it took to remove and how easily it was removed.

You will find with gel-like glitter based polishes that they are a little harder to remove and this was no exception. I did find that soaking my nails in warm water first made the removal of this polish a little easier and less time consuming.

Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves unusual fabulous colours, as well as a polish that is all natural with no artificial anything, as well as having extraordinary staying power and chip resistant wear. So what are you waiting for, isn't it time you got your Denim on.

Discovery Bag Trial

piCture pOlish in Denim is the first piCture pOlish nail polish that I have tried and I have to say that I am very impressed by its quality.

Tis polish came in a little bag with a piCture pOlish card explaining how to apply this polish and what sort of particles were used to make this polish, as well as a friendly warning that due to its formulation piCture pOlish takes longer to dry. I thought it was quite nice that the leaflet was included with the polish, as this never happens - not even more expensive brands introduce their nail polishes this way! The polish itself is in a cute rectangular bottle with a black rubbery lid.

The smell of piCture pOlish nail polish was alright as far as the nailpolishes go - not too strong, so that's good as well. The formulation of this nail polish was quite nice, slightly thicker than the average nail polish, but I didn't think it took much longer to dry.

This polish was very easy to apply, although I do think that the brush could have been just a little bit firmer. One coat of this polish was quite sheer, but when to coats are applied, you get an opaque look, which is wonderful. I had this polish on for 6 days (without base and top coats) and it didn't chip at all!!! I was very impressed by how well it lasted!!!

piCture pOlish is an Australian brand, so I give it more points for that and it's also 3 free, so everyone will love the sound of that!!!

Finally, the colour is absolutely gorgeous!!! It is a blue colour and it sort of looks purple under some lighting. There are blue/silver flecks and some blue shimmer through it as well and this makes it such a beautiful polish. It reminds me of "old school" denim and I really like this colour - it's very pretty and wearable!

Overall, I am a big fan of this polish and the brand - great quality, long lasting, easy to apply, Australian and well priced too!!! I highly recommend piCture pOlish!!!

Wonderful Colour

My new favourite colour polish comes in a rectangular bottle with a rubbery lid. This lid makes it great for opening and holding as you don't get the slippery lid you normally do.
Some of these bottle stack together sideways would look really cool.
The colour is denim blue base but with it there is a purpleness to it as well. It really is quite hard to explain the colours that you can see on your nails when you use it.
There are silver flakes in a sparkly blue polish which makes it shine and shimmer. It also has quite a gritty feel to it with all the sparkles and shimmer.
It is a bit thicker than a normal polish which I loved because it meant I could take me time and apply it more carefully than usual. I found one coat gave a sheer colour but enought that you got a good hint of colour, I applied 3 coats as I do with any polish and found a wonderful vibrant polish. I loved trying it out in different lights as the more light the more colour change you could see.

Fantastic!

This nail polish has quickly become one of my favourites. I love the rubbery grip on the lid which stops your hand from sliding and getting polish on it.
I found this nail polish really easy to apply, but you definitely need 2 coats to give an even coverage. The colour is amazing, denim with silver gray sparkles, never had something like this before.
The longevity of the polish was great, lasted for about a week with a topcoat.
I also love the fact that it is Australian made and has no nasty chemicals, artificial fragrances or flavours.
The only negative is that it does take a little longer to dry compared to other nail polishes, but it’s worth the wait because the result is amazing.

Discovery Bag Trial

The picture polish comes in a square glass bottle, topped with black non slip rubbery caps. The name of the polish is written on the front, and there is also a little cute phrase that reads “cult fashion icon for your nails!”.
Denim is a blue nail polish with a purple tone, containing silver-grey pieces and blue shimmer, beautifully glittering in the sun.
The formula is creamy and on the thick side. This nail polish is quite sheer in one coat, but opaque in two coats.
The first time when I used this polish I applied 2 coats, and the colour lasted me for 5 days without chipping. The second time I also applied a top coat- and the colour lasted me for about 5-7 days!!
Denim shade is the perfect mix of blue and purple that I have been trying to find. If you're getting yourself some polishes from piCture pOlish, this is a must-have. Highly recommended!
