My hands are…. cracked/chapped

There’s nothing worse than having cracked or chapped hands. Not only is it pretty painful, it can also be ugly to look at when your hands are all red and inflamed. Thankfully there are a few tips to help:
- As we know, prevention is the best cure. Keep lots of nourishing creams around you during colder months so your hands don’t reach the cracked state.
- If the skin on your hands is already chapped or cracked, be sure to look for creams that aren’t heavily fragranced (as these will sting any open wounds, however slight).
- Don’t underestimate the cheaper brands. One of the best hand lotions for really dry skin is Vaseline Rescue Soothing Hand Cream, which has the ability to soften even the driest of hands.
- Really rough, dry skin is almost unbeatable to break through and treat, so be sure to soak your hands in warm water for a few minutes to soften dead or dry skin before you take to your hands with a really rich hand cream. Look for shea butter as a main ingredient, as it’s one of best deeply nourishing ingredients.

Thanks for the tips BH, thankfully I don't suffer from cracked hands. But I can imagine just how painful that would be. I'll keep the Vaseline cream in mind though for my dry hands.

Thanks BH I do suffer from cracked hands and it is extremely painful at times and I'm always looking for ways to keep it under control. I can be really embarrassing to walk around with heaps of band aids on cause your fingers are just so red raw and bleeding.

Thanks BH I have just moved house and my hands are so dry from all the dust and boxes. I was looking for a good hand cream to soften them up as I haven't suffered from such dry hands before. I will definitively give the Vaseline cream a try. Thanks again.

I do not let my hands get to this state, I always love a good handcream and handwash that is nourishing for my skin.

Nice tips, my hands are so dry and especially in winter they tend to crack along my fingers.
