Hot tip of the week: hair that is sleek is your ticket to chic

See that girl with the long, kind of scraggly looking mane sitting on your bus? The one who looks as though she just rolled out of bed and strolled out the door? Yep, she’s a typical lazy locks. I know we’ve all been guilty of it before, but truly, it’s not as much effort as you may think to look more polished and less unruly in the mornings.
Trust me, just by parting that hair down the middle and securing it a low ponytail or neat bun at the nape of your neck, you’re already halfway to chic-ville.
Sleek hair is the perfect canvas for a polished, show-stopping look. All you need to do is brush on a few lashings of mascara and a slick of bright lippy and you’re good to go.
Hot tip: Try smoothing down any flyaway tresses with some smoothing serum, or by spraying hairspray onto a tissue and smoothing it over your head. This will keep your look sharp all day long.

What's your quick no-fail hair look?

Great tips Liv! It's true that it doesn't take too much more effort to make lazy hair look polished. But I have to admit that I'm still guilty of it on a daily basis, I guess it's my job that allows me to get away with this, so I do! But I will try this chic look for weekends :)

This look definitely won't suit my face shape, it's a pity as it looks so nice on those models.

I always just do a ponytail, or I straighten my hair and leave it. Just depends how much time I have to style my hair.

These are so easy but often i have been quilty of the ugly looking hair and when you say just part and put in a pony tail its so easy and makes me feel so lazy or uneducated in the easy ways to keep my hair looking good. And i like the tip about using hair spray and wiping it off with tissue thats a great tip so thankz so much as usual for your great ideas

I use product and a hair straightener which works and is easy and I like putting my hair up in a messy bun.
I have a shag look as well that I do from time to time.

Putting my hair back in a pony tail, and taming my frizzy hair with coconut oil is my quick fix

My hair is short, short, short - too short for any pony tail. I went for the crop roughly ten years ago due to the ball of frizz I possessed. Your solution doesn't work for everyone. It wouldn't have worked for me. My hair was and still is very curly and unruly, not wanting to lie flat, parting itself where it wants to (otherwise known as a cowlick - I have at least 4 of them), preventing me from parting it in the middle. Such a task would take ages, resulting in excess fuzz, stray hairs, and a very "un-chique" look. Curly hair is such a menace.
Cutting my hair short is the best thing I've ever done - it doesn't look curly anymore, thank heavens. All I have to do is run some product through it with my fingers and I'm ready.
BRILLIANT!
