Clarins Sunscreen Control Cream for Face SPF 30

bh’s Astrid says:

I’ve only recently started wearing sunscreen daily (as a beauty editor, I’m well aware this is VERY naughty), and this is the one that got me into the habit. As someone in their late twenties, I’ve put protecting my skin at the top of my 2016 beauty game, and since wearing it daily, it’s made a biiig difference to the overall appearance of my skin. Because Clarins has such a positive reputation for producing great products that help with anti-ageing, I chose this cream to kick start my daily sunscreen routine and so far, it hasn’t let me down. I apply it daily under my make-up – it sits really well without making my foundation slide, sweat off or look shiny. At first it was a bit of a bother but lately it’s just become a part of my daily beauty routine, and now I never go a day without applying it, rain, hail or shine!

Max Factor Velvet Volume False Lash Effect Mascara

bh’s Sam says:

I’m lucky enough to have long lashes with a natural curl and I found this mascara to be perfect for everyday use. It separates the lashes easily, coating them with colour and giving them hold without becoming stiff. I hate it when my lashes turn hard and brittle when using mascara, so this feels a bit more gentle on them – plus it’s a breeze to remove. If you have lashes that need volume, I don’t think this would be your Holy Grail. It mostly just gives natural lashes pigment and separation that’s comfortable for daily use. I didn’t mind the comb brush either! The hard bristles separate the lashes nicely, and as spidery lashes are becoming popular for 2016, it’s definitely worth a try. OH and I love how sleek the packaging is! Anything matte black gets my vote.

Dove Original Antiperspirant Deodorant

bh’s Anna says:

I am a Dove diehard and have been using their deodorants for as long as I can remember. There are so many things to love about their original aerosol. The signature Dove scent smells crisp and clean without being overpowering, and I’ve never had odour issues when using this deodorant as it has 24-hour protection. The skin under my arms also looks and feels soft from the product’s moisturising properties, which is really important for me because I’m prone to irritation and redness. I do tend to get some white residue when using this product but nothing that a baby wipe can’t fix!

Fudge Hot Hed Violet

bh’s Michelle says:

For years I’d heard people talk about brassy hair. As a beauty editor, I wrote about how to handle brassy hair, but it was only when I became a blonde three years ago that I really understood the struggle. (If we haven’t properly met yet, you can check out this forum for more fun facts about my beauty past and present!) So back to the brass. Toning shampoos and conditioners were an early discovery for me to keep my colour on the right side of cool. Finding this purple mousse from Fudge, however, was a complete revelation. It’s gentle on my hair while sucking out any hint of brassiness and it also works brilliantly as a styling mousse, giving the right amount of volume and texture. I use it after every shampoo/condition but only in the couple of weeks leading up to an appointment with my colourist, just to keep everything looking clean. Although it’s a leave-in-and-blow-dry product – and in spite of the fact that I tend to use a generous tennis-ball-sized amount – my hair always feels soft and silky afterwards, not dry or crunchy.
