4 ways with...tousled tresses

We’re betting our beauty bags that after you saw our boho waves how-to video, you simply couldn’t keep away from your heat stylers.
Well, now that you’ve mastered the art of tousled tresses, let us paint you a pretty picture of all the ways you can wear your beachy, oh-so sexy ‘do.
What? You thought there was only one way?
Oh no, no, no, dear beauties, there’s a myriad of ways you can style those tousled locks – all equally as glam and gorgeous as each other. And all you really need is your heat styler, some Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Spray Gel or Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Mousse to help you create a touchable, tousled look with ease, and some bobby pins. Easy. As. Pie. Just look to these celebs for some inspiration…
Flowing free – This is the base for all tousled styles as loose waves that are just the right amount of messy can add an extra bit of glam to any look. We love how well this style works with Rachel’s balayage.
H
igh and mighty – If you don’t want you to leave your hair out, gather your locks into a ponytail on the crown of your head, ala Blake, and secure with a hair-tie and bobby pins. Make sure to leave a few strands out to frame your face. The waves and slight messiness take a high ponytail from schoolgirl to sexy.

Half ‘n’ half - A half up-‘do like Ash’s says effortless, casual, and boho but can be dressed up too. To get this look, take the top-half section of your hair, smooth it over, and loosely pin it back. Make sure to spray with some hairspray for all-day hold!
Side swept – Ah, you can’t go past a romantic side ponytail like Carmen’s. This one’s great if your day-or-two-old tousled ‘do is a little bit on the dirty side. Gather your hair at the nape of your neck and tie it up either just to the left or right of centre, then simply let your ponytail rest over your shoulder.

Why would a tousled ‘do best suit you?

A tousled do would best suit me because my hair is naturally wavy and I normally don't have a lot of time to do my hair in the mornings. I love how all these styles don't need to be perfectly neat.

I love the "high and mighty"! The "flowing free" would probably suit me best though because it hides more!!

I have quite an angular face, tousled hair do's really soften up my chin and create more of a romantic look on me! And plus, the tousled look is perfect for our relaxed Australian way of life :)

Seeing I commute 2 hours to work and get up early, tousled would be quick and easy and much more pretty than my current frizz do!

I have a more square shaped face and was born with straight hair. As I've grown up, I've found that having it all down doesn't suit my face, so I like curling the ends a bit for some soft waves. I love this hairstyle!

Tousles would suit me because my hair i straight but it can get boofy and I never know what to do with it, i'm a busy single mum of 2 and tousles would be the perfect, quick and easy hairdo for me.

I love the Tousled look. It sort of looks like my hair when I get up. I love a very natural hair look, slightly messy. When the crimped look was in my sister generously decided to try out a crimping iron on my hair to see it would turn out. Well we had had a couple of glasses of wine and she was really into it with great passion. I thought I looked really good until the next morning when I woke up to hair that was actually burnt, frizzed like it never had before and looked really disgusting. I just cried, it was horrible. I had to go to the hair dresser and have it all cut off. I have never been near a crimping iron since and I also think BH's instructions of plaiting your hair to achieve the crimped look.

As a schoolgirl with long dark hair, i always go with the "high and mighty" look. Its easy, convenient for school and frames my long face well. It can be worn to the side, up real high or relaxed a little lower depending on what you like. It suits me so well because im tall too so it looks great even on weekends when i'm in heels :)

I'm a beach lover living in the country for the past 8 months. Recreating sexy tousled strands would surely give me a little edge among the tumbleweeds and farm animals!

I love the high and mighty look. It's still fun and flirty and it's something different. It pulls the hair back and looks a little bit more sleeker.

I love a tousled look, I really prefer the "just got back from the beach tousle" and with a little help this is how I love to wear my hair.

I have a really round face and soft volumized tousles makes my face look less 'round' Flat hair doesn't do me a favour - I love tousled waves.

My hair is already curly so the tousled look suits me more than straight hair does. It's a way cuter look and far less maintenance!

The tousled styles above look great, and as well suit my short hair. I like to style it wavy, even though it is short with beach spray.

My hair is quite straight naturally. However I have always imagined that I would look beautiful with tousled waves so I would love to try!

High and mighty, my hair has a little kink to it already but with products that encourage it, it becomes wavey and a high pony makes me look fresh and it is the easiest way to style my hair that is still cute and put together. Flowing free is nice too :P.

The first look is my favorite - just flowing free with no effort. A tousled look is what I normally go for because my hair is wavy/curly and long, I don't have the time to style it and I prefer not to use lots of heat on my hair because it breaks easily. A tousled look is just too easy and always looks great for any occasion!
I would love to see more styles for curly hair though, I feel like we miss out!

A tousled do suits me because I'm totally laid-back when it comes to my hair! I like my hair loose and messy!

I have really thin, dead-straight hair that is normally as flat as a pancake. I love tousled hair because it adds much-need va-va-voom volume but looks chic and effortless at the same time!

My hair is very fine and straight, a tousled look gives it more volume and movement, but I have yet to master the art of doing it myself!

A tousled 'do would suit me because my hair is naturally wavy/curly, so it'd just be enhancing what I already have.
