I usually blow dry straight into the roots to give it that lift.

Let it dry naturally I have a slight kink to my hair. Like to blowdry it or add some sort of product like gel etc to give it a bit of volume and bounce :)

It's all in the styling for me. That and having short hair. Can't live without my dryer and round brush.

I'd love to try the Morrocanoil and Schwarzkopf shampoos listed above there in that list. I'm adding to my wishlist!
Currently the add volume I use the Backcomb In A Bottle by Umberto Gianni, Batiste Dry Shampoo, Tigi Bedhead or the amazing Schwarzkopf Rough & Tough. Adding some waves or curls also adds volume I find as it adds movement a bit. My hair sits flat as a pancake otherwise!

I agree great article! I have limp and lifeless hair too. I use joico body volume, but its running out soon,so I need something inexpensive to replace it. Another tip that I get from some of the bh members is to use apple cider vinegar rinse. Not only does it clean my scalp and the build ups,but it also give great volume after wash! :)

I love Lush's 'Big' shampoo. I also think Charles Worthington volumising mousse actually makes quite a difference.

I usually tip my head upside down while blowdrying to add volume and pull my hair upwards with a brush while applying heat. A little mousse in wet hair before blowdrying also does wonders, or so I've heard!

Great article. Never used to give too much attention to my hair but now I love trying out different haircare products. Would love to try any of the brands showcased here, esp the Moroccanoil one.

I love the Schwarzkopf Extra Care Push-Up Volume Shampoo but I did not care for the Wella Pro Series Volume Shampoo as I found that it dried out my hair.

I blow dry my hair underneath first by bending over and letting my hair fall forward- this really gets some volume into it but you may want to sit down on a chair while you do this.

Terrific list, thanks Liv ♥ After straightening, I just aim the dryer on full blast under, over and around my hair. Creates a total mess but then I just stroke it into place and it stays pretty plumped for the whole day - my hairdresser does this too. Took me a while to figure out what he was aiming at, but I got there in the end :-)
