Give lacklustre locks the boot

Are you feeling like you’re stuck in beauty rut with no signs of escape? You can probably blame your lacklustre hair for that. (Let’s face it; no one with fabulous hair has any reason to feel glum!) So we’ve found the perfect excuse to climb out of the dull hair rut…
Hair colour specialists, L’Oreal Professionnel, have recently released INOA, a technological breakthrough in hair colour. This wonder colourant boasts no odour or ammonia, undisturbed levels of lipids and amino acids, sublime shine and infinite colour power – and now you can experience the revolution.
Until August 31st 2011, you’re invited to receive $35 off your next INOA hair colour when you purchase a cut and INOA colour service at a participating INOA salon. To receive your voucher, simply click here to register your details and then just wait for your personalised certificate to be sent to you.
Bh’s Natalie was keen to breathe some life into her dull home-dyed hair colour, so she went along to road-test the brand new technology. This is what she had to say about her INOA experience:
“I was really excited about having my hair coloured with INOA at SUKI hairdressing as my hair was in dire need of some TLC! INOA colourants don’t contain ammonia and so aren’t damaging to the hair, which was a massive tick for me as I colour my hair quite frequently and am conscious about what this must be doing to my luscious locks. I choose a warm winter bronzed brown shade and I’m really happy with the results – it’s a block colour but it still has a lot of depth and the colour doesn’t look flat at all. Plus, during the development process there was no tingling or itching sensation that I normally get from the chemicals in other colourants, and my hair now feels much softer than it usually would after colouring. I would definitely go back to SUKI and get my colour done with INOA from now on!” - bh’s Nat![]()

Reading this after a weekend of wishing I had the money to change my severely faded hair colour is quite difficult!! Fab hair is definitely the antidote to feeling drab.

A fresh hair colour or new style is a great way to perk me up. A facial or a massage also works wonders.

well i have been feeling darb so i have made an appt for the hairdressers next week to get a trim and some of my streaks re-done so that my hair will look and feel alot better..I always love to get my hair looking good as it does perk me up. But if i cant get in when i want. I usually just do my hair in a different style and ofter will put on some mascara and abit of mineral powder on my face to brighten myself up. The advantage of the hairdresser is that they do give a great head message and while i am getting my hair done they have one of the girls massage your hands with some lovely scented hand lotion...kinda makes me feel special ....even if its just for that day...always good to feel special

i rarely go to the hairdressers. When i want to perk up my look if i am feeling drab - i make sure i put a treatment in my hair to make it soft and shiny. Also, i do a bit of window shopping at any place that sells makeup and hair products.

Giving my hair a trim and getting some volume into it Curling helps or just changing my hair colour even if it is a couple of shades different

The only way I perk up dull locks is by having a trim and getting my roots done, I always feel 100% better after that.

After getting a 'trim' even if it's just the teensiest one like 1cm off (which is often the 'usual' for me!) I feel a bit freshened up with my look. I just feel tidier and less daggy. I also love using dry shampoo to boost root volume for a fresher and better look. I use it quite a lot so now I'm keen on learning about those volume powders that you sprinkle on (like a salt and pepper shaker!) for root volume.
