Run out of beauty juice?

I might be the Editor of the best beauty site but, just like you, I’m still thirsty for a new piece of beauty advice. There’s no such thing as too much beauty juice in my opinion. Handy then that I run into some of the best brains in the beauty biz on a weekly, if not daily, basis who pass on snazzy snippets such as these …
“Put body lotion on when you’ve just finished showering, before you dry off. It locks moisture in, plus you use less as the water makes it go further.” Handy, and rather economical, advice from Narveen Singh – owner of Daily Bath & Body, a fab eco-friendly range that’s hitting Priceline stores as we speak. Be sure to check out the divine Shea Sugar Scrub.
“Colour is an accessory, and can’t be used to shape, lift or open the eyes as shading can.” Those were Rae Morris’ – make-up legend, author and L’Oreal Paris Make-up Director – words of wisdom when we cornered her about colour.
And when I whined to Dan (Dan Dixon, the innovative creator of The Chop Shop) about my lack of serial shine, he recommended I try “MOP C System Smooth Shine Lotion, it’s a great, weightless blow-drying aid.” That and a high-protein diet, “that has always been great for nail and hair growth.”
Mi beauty advice es su beauty advice,

Care to share ladies? Got a handy beauty tip that we could all do with?

I put bronzer that i normally cant use into my day cream, which gives a little glow when I apply moisturiser but it doesn't turn mr orange.

When at the beach, rub your feet in sand. You need to wet it at first to create a paste and then rinse your feet. Feet should be nice and soft. The apply some body lotion to lock in moisture.

Water, water & more water!! And a good night's sleep. No amount of beauty product can improve your skin like these two.

Gosh, I love that model's eye makeup! It's so beautiful. I would never have thought about putting red and purple eyeshadow together like that and with red lips, too. I wish I could get my makeup done like that. Rae Morris is such a genius! I love that she also embraces colourful makeup. My sort of makeup artist. All too often, makeup artists give me nude lips and subtle shadow. I guess those looks must be popular, but I don't want to look like everyone else!
So that is my beauty tip for today, don't be afraid to experiment with colour and be original. Sometimes looks don't work out, but don't worry just try a new one. It's makeup after all. Rae also advises to pick a celeb that resembles you and perhaps imitate their makeup look. It's just such a thrill to find a new look or colour that works. Thanks, Sarah for brightening my day. Well Done, Bundybites on being first comment!

I really like that bronzer tip bundy.
My words of wisdom: If you have any moisturiser left on your hands after putting it on your face, rub the excess on your neck and chest.

I got my best tip from here on BH. Use Sorbeline to shave your legs rather than shaving cream, it keeps them soft and smooth with less chance of getting a shaving rash :)

Thanks for the great tips everyone. I agree skitzkitty - a great beauty regime starts from within... Eating plenty of antioxidant and omega-3 rich foods is my two cents worth!

Hi Sarah - do you know where we can go to find out more about that Daily Bath and Body range? That shea sugar scrub sounds lovely!
I took one of your tips a few weeks ago and went out and bought one of St Ive's super-cheap tubs of scrub - using it on my legs in the shower before shaving resulted in one of my smoothest, closest and fastest shaves ever (and the razor was pretty old too hehe)! To get a shave that good it usually takes much longer and I have to use a fairly new razor and shaving oil (my favourite is Dermalogica's). So I was rapt with the scrub, thanks for the heads up!

Simple elegant makeup is always great for the day. A slick of lippy, some blush and a fab mascara always leave me looking pretty! xx

Thanks Sarah, I'll be sure to check that out.
I concur with the water advice as well - just take a bottle wherever you go and drink continually throughout the day. You'll be surprised how much your body will actually take in a day. I think most of us are pretty dehydrated most of the time, we just don't realise it! Often times the feeling of being hungry is just your body's way of trying to get more fluids of some sort into you; try having a drink instead and see if you're still hungry :)

I use the eye cream that I use in my summer routine as my winter moisturiser.
Love the eyecolours and I must say eyeshadow is my real weakness, I love all makeup but especially the looks you can achieve with just a couple of different eyeshadows.

your welcome Drdaw for the tip with bronzer, :) thanks Mel for the extra bronxer tip, I shall try that next time I dont have a sparkly gloss :) thanks Blissful Beauty for the congrats on first post lol.
I did forget to say thanks to Sarah for confirming what I do with moisturiser - Straight after shower- is a good thing.
also if you prefer liquid eyeshadow but have heaps of powders, break up the poweders and put it in with a small amount of vaseline or a clear gloss to make a light coloured more liquid form of the eyeshadow. (my friend just told me this after I told her what todays article was)

if your hair is a little frizzy and you run out of smoothing product or don't have any with you, a small amount of moistruiser through the ends works wonders.

Forget about lipstick when you are in a hurry as a quick dash of Juicy Tubes looks more natural anyway.
