I have never coloured my hair at home before. I have just started to get a few gray hairs so I think it is time to try out DIY hair colouring. This article makes it sound easy peasy!

Well where do i start! Yes it is totally easy peasy...let us say japaneseee... firstly u dont have 2 be a pro @ at home hair colours! all u need are a few tried and tested things firstly an old towel secondly petroleum jelly! why i hear u ask! well.. u apply around yr hair line (face and tops of your ears this stops your colour from running and dying everything except your hair thirdly.. an old wide brimmed comb...for combing your hair helping your hair colour to reach every strand perfectly.. then last but not least glad wrap! to cover your hair letting all your hard work and hair dye to penetrate into your hair better just wrap your hair up with the glad wrap and continue on with the directions of your hair colouring product!! Wullah... Done perfect..easy peassy hair colour ;)

This one sounds easy to use - much easier than the liquid dyes.

I always died my hair myself and I always got mixed compliments some saying the colour looked great and some saying they could see patchy colours etc. Ive stopped now but it is easier than you think!

I've never tried a foam dye ... but used a mousse one and it was TERRIBLE! Coverage didn't even make it down to the end of the hair which is only shoulder length!

I've done the DIY route quite a few times myself but this foam one sounds really interesting! Might have to look into it at some point...at the moment I prefer using semi-permanents as it's more nourishing for hair than permanent, plus you don't get the awful regrowth!

Im very excited to try this foam. I have a blonde sitting in my cupboard to try out when the salon can make me the lightest shade possible

Sounds like a great new product. Being foam it should be easier to use. Also having 20 different shades, there would be a colour that suits everyone's needs.

I can't wait to try this! I'm in the process of going lighter at the moment, so once I achieve that, I think I'll give this foam a go!

I'm glad things are always on the improve - including DIY home hair colouring. When it comes my turn to commit to doing this for myself at home (hopefully not for a while yet!) I am confident the formulas will be so fantastic and refined it will be a breeze to do.

Whilst I'm partial to my hair being maintained with my hair dresser, I agree that the formula for at home hair dyes is rapidly improving. I'd be happy to try these products to see for myself.

I DIY hair colour most of the time because of budget as well as those pesky greys coming through my dark brown hair. Hair colouring at home is something I have done for quite a few years.
I won a voucher and received a John Frieda Precision Foam Colour from Priceline. Natural brown locks for me again, YAY. Once most of your hair is covered with foam and you massage, it turns into a creamy mix that reminds me of a shampoo lather. The smell is not strong like other chemical colours, which is great. I found it to be less messy than conventional hair colour and the end result is excellent.

I like foam hair colours. But I rarely do it myself, usually because I get foils at the hairdresser.

I may have to look into this. I have coloured my hair at home, however sometimes things don't always go as planned and it doesn't turn out right! This sounds like it could be a great hair colour. :D
