All bets are off…

I don’t know about yours but my hair has super powers. It has a unique ability to sense the finest dewy tip of moisture and rapid-response itself into a frizzy ‘fro that Monica from Friends would be hard pushed to beat. I’d be proud if it wasn’t so darn annoying.
I blame the weather. See, when it comes to the weather, you never know what you’re going to get (I thank all of you weather people for your hard work but trying to get the forecast accurate is like trying to apply decent lippy on the bus: never gonna happen).
But before we boldly declare that frizz-free days are impossible – take a quick squiz at the only form guide you’ll be needing today: the best bets for weatherproofing your hair for wherever you’ll be watching the race!
Yes, come rain, hail or shine these beauties will keep you in pole position – is that a racing term or Formula 1 lingo? …Anyway I digress, just try these hair heroes and make sure you’re one racy lady today:
RPR Hair Care Fix My Frizz Shampoo (Berry Smoothie)
This is like the pre-season training before the big day. It tames wild, unruly hair making it manageable, glossy and race ready. It just happens to smell like a yummy smoothie too.
Andrew Collinge Simply No Frizz Smooth & Shiny Salon Conditioner
This little beauty contains special conditioning agents to help restore maximum moisture and protect against humidity. Hair will be left so smooth, soft and sleek that we recommend standing back from the course – you don’t want to distract the jockeys!
John Frieda Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Original Formula
A blob – I love that word – of this on your locks before you leave and you’ll be laughing. The tiny bottle – it can be squeezed into your clutch – polishes frizz-prone strands coating the hair in a crystal clear gloss and repelling humidity. Now there’s a superpower I like the sound of.
What are your Melbourne Cup plans?

My hair doesn't frizz at all! I actually find it kind of weird. I'm not going to be doing much today, but my relatives are coming over.

Just another day for me. I don't support horse racing as I think it is cruel to the horses.

Well I feel like I have the place to myself as hubby loves his horse racing any knowledge about a horse he knows nothing unless they are racing. So he has been in the bedroom since 9am fixed to his tv only comes out for snacks and drinks.
Myself I don't like the races personally and have never been so what are my melbourne cup plans well first thank-you for asking yourself Sarah are you whipping down to the cup? John Frieda is good stuff and you know I like my beauty products and how giddy it makes me when you supply links to them supplied with pictures.
Now where was I plans well I think I will have a lay down on the couch while I recover and hope to catch up on the gossip in the forums hopefully tommorrow as I have some serious beautyheaven dt's and have missed you ladies a whole bunch! I would live here if I could. Hope to see you ladies tommorrow and hope you all have a great day and don't forget your lip gloss or lip stick, serum......

Well, I will be teaching a class of students who couldn't be less enthused about the Melbourne cup if they tried. Of course, I have my traditional once a year bet on the horses. Love watching the excitement of the race and checking out the fashion.

my husband once asked if the frizz-ease is meant to give you frizz - with ease! i would have laughed, if it hadn't occurred to me that meant my hair was still frizzy. anyhoo - today am at home with a sooky baby (immunisations yesterday) and sooky husband (got poked in the eye by immunized baby, now has eye patch), instead of at a party. boo.

Staying at home recovering from really bad cold. On 7th box of tissue in 7 days. :( Sore dry-flaky skin around the nose needs some TLC, if only freez-free could help... shea butter to the rescue! :)

This is the first year in a very long time I have not had a bet, I have been so busy being sick myself and looking after my two little on'es that I just forgot all about it, and didn't save any money for a bet. So I totally turned off the telly and all today so I didn't have to hear it, lol.

Today I have been watching the racing on tv. Didn't place a bet this year, which was a good thing, because I would have lost my money!

Nothing like running 20-odd sweepstakes at the office and then bundling the money up into winnings for the punters. I'm totally pooped and need a bex and a lie down. Its been one hell of a day. Oh and I organised drinks and nibbles for 40 people. All in a days work ladies!
