Topic: Babycare / Bio-Oil® mums-to-be group

AAAAAARGH As soon as Cate hit 12 weeks old, my hair started to fall out big time. I had completely forgotten about it. I’m having to change my hairstyle because I can notice the sides of my head thinning out. Hubby hasn’t noticed (of course) but if it keeps up, I’m going to feel embarrassed going out in public. I’m losing 1/4 of a sink full of hair each morning, as it’s coming out in clumps.

I read that I probably need more iron, and it should stop generally when bub hits 6 months old (yikes). Anyone else experiencing this? If so, what did you do?

Am hoping it won’t be permanent. fingers crossed.

I had this happen to me and my hairdresser told me it is pretty normal after giving birth. I had it happen with my first son and again with my second. Second time around I feel it was worse and hated the days I would have to wash my hair as it would just come out in massive clumps. It did slow down but you can now see all the shorter bits in my hair, especially around the front and underneath. My second son is 14 months old and I am pregnant with baby no. 3 so I am going to have to go through it all over again. Just one of those joys of pregnancy :)

:(

Congrats on your pregnancy, Kferrari :D There is a 10 year gap between my second child, and Cate, so I didn’t remember the hair loss. Oh the joy!

The smiles are worth it though :D

Cate laughed at my husband playing peek-a-boo for the first time yesterday. I had the good sense to catch it on camera. So cute!

Aww… Gorgeous! And well done catching the smiles! It’s not easy. My little guy is a sneaky smiler but I managed to get this smile(ish) photo the other day. I love those precious baby smiles!
What a cutie Lucrecia!
If only I got a $ every time I’ve said or been told how fast they grow!!!!

How did your move go?

Haha! I know, PrettyPrincess! :) But they do grow fast. Since he’s baby #4, it feels like he’s growing even faster. I noticed he was drooling a lot and I thought – where is all of this drool coming from?! Then I remembered… Teething! I’ve got a teething baby again! It seems so soon, but all my other kids had their first tooth by 4 months, so he’s right on track.

The move went well. Thank you for asking. Baby travelled well. Got my visit to Sephora (yay!). The kids are back to school and we’re really happy with our choice of school. No major hiccups, thankfully.

Hope all is well with your little guys. :)

Glad to hear the relocation (and more important the sephora visit!!) went well.
We are going well, he was 9 weeks on thursday, trying to solidify his routine a bit more, he has just become so interactive, smiley/giggly, its hard to put him to bed sometimes lol
My first one teethed at 4 months too, I was still having BF issues and saw a ‘lactation consultant’ at 3 months 2 weeks who almost laughed at me when I said I thought he was teething, sure enough, pretty much 4 months on the dot 2 teeth through, I wanted to take him back and show her!!! lol
That really taught me to listen to mothers instinct.
4 months was fun. Still little but you get a response from them (hopefully a happy one). I laughed at Hubby saying “Okay, time to put you away now” like Cate was a toy hahaha.

Cate has just hit 6 months and she’s usually happy, but she has become little Miss Stubborn. She refused to have her morning nap yesterday, and boy did I miss it. She’s having one today though, thank goodness. I need that sanity break because she’s full on. Getting clingy and doesn’t like to have me out of sight, but is such a playful little girl.

I have had friends’ babies teeth at 3 months. Ouch!! Yes, definitely trust your mother instinct.

Topic: Anything but beauty / What is Annoying you at the moment...???

Thank you so much gorgeous ladies!!
I went to a Job Network Meeting ready to have a breakdown and I actually got a compassionate woman who took charge and redid my resume for me. I’m going to get her a gift. I’m still wound up but wow she took such a load off of my chest! Wow! That doesn’t happen!

Now onwards to Cover Letters, Seashells knows! It’s like EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Don’t lie, Mr Smithers from the Simpsons caught Marge out by speaking in Swahili, but that doesn’t mean you can’t “pad the truth”, just make it sound better.
I remember way back when I was doing work experience, my boss told me to take a note down to another department. I put in my résumé that I personally handled interdepartmental correspondence. It’s not a lie, but it sounds better than saying I took a note downstairs.

Good luck Emma Ocean!

Catlover: GOOD ON YOU! I’m glad you did it.

Rose_P: have you checked that in NT they don’t just target their ads to 50+ but still allow you to go from 40+? Those are just the rules for random screening, with your medical history (Eek!) I’m sure there’ll be a way for free. Like catlover said, free or not, you should do it!

I’m due for my pap smear & my tit this month. I’d rather have a weekly pap smear than a tit screen. I’m an E cup, so that’s a hell of a lot of flesh for them to squeeze down into a pancake. They called me back once because of an irregularity (tits not pap). It turns out I’ve got calcification. As the doctor was explaining that it’s fairly common but harmless, my internal monologue was telling me I’ve got “stalactits”, you know, like stalactitEs in caves, except in my tits. (If you heard half the stuff that goes on in my head, seriously…) It’s hard to keep a straight face sometimes. When it happens in a doctor’s office, that’s probably the worst place to have your internal monologue go into a comedy routine.

Topic: Hair / Best hair masks?

Store bought or natural made at home, any that bring amazing results. For dry hair.

Hiya Romashka. I’m going to suggest a homemade mask for something different.

I love DIY masks – have tried many different combos.
I have used bananas, honey, coconut oil, olive oil, Coconut milk, eggs, yoghurt, avocado, henna and many more.

Right now, I like the yoghurt and egg mask. It’s amazing – leaves my hair smooth, soft and shiny. I got the recipe off a youtuber (super princess jo).

I just mix plain yoghurt with a couple of eggs and whisk. Apply to dry hair. Leave it on for 20 minutes and rinse off. I don’t use shampoo or conditioner because I don’t think my hair needs it.

I have used fruit yoghurt but ended up with fruit chunks in my hair! :-/

I love dyi masks as well. OMG I watch super princess jo for hair videos too! I’ve tried the banana mask, olive oil and honey, coconut oil, egg masks. farahdhukai also has good hair videos. I get recipes from those 2 and they do give results for me :) just need to find the time to do it!

Catlover, please keep us informed on what you decide to do next week. Hoping you have relief from your symptoms too, having that sort of pain would be a challenge to face each day

First mammogram done and dusted! It was NOWHERE near as bad as I thought it would be. It fact, it wasn’t bad at all except that it exacerbated the current pain I have in my armpit a little. Thanks again for all your messages ladies x

Glad it’s all over for you cat lover

Topic: Make-up / How I got Plump lips naturally

Most organic lip plumpers contain some form of chilli / capsicum extract. The plumping is actually swelling caused by an allergic reaction. The more allergic you are, the greater the effect ~ and the sicker it will make you…

Glad the mammo is all done and over with cat lover. Sorry, I think I missed some of the news inbetween. Now you can relax and take it easy and not worry about it.
I hope the pain is going away and you take it easy for the next few days just to get back to normal. Take care.

This is Cheeky, Bella’s “sister.” She was the most timid creature when we got her but is one of the most beautifully natured cats we’ve loved. They adore each other – beauties, I do know there’s a pet section but these are for my very special Lift Esteem cat people!

Cheeky loves the camera I see :-)

Bella, who really does know how beautiful she is – especially for all our cat people, especially cat lover and Rose. Cat lover, I’ll be thinking of you later today – hope it wasn’t too harrowing.

That’s because Bella is beautiful :-)

Im not always here or as active as i used to be.

had to deal with a death of an uncle too. Someone that used to look after me when i was younger when parents were away at work. He developed a mental illness for years, and unfortunately passed away due to emphysema yesterday morning…

My sympathies go to you VivaliciousChic on your loss. Sad time for you at the present time. xx

So glad it went well for you cat lover. I’ts always a scarey thing the first time to have it done. It’s only for a split second that you think owwwwwwwwwww lol.

Sometimes I get the pain in the armpit because it’s coming from my neck/shoulder and stress does cause pain sometimes. Hope you find out what is causing yours soon :-)
