Serial SPAM member on BH
Oh dear. I noticed this today and it’s a doozy. This one particular BH member has been serial spamming across major BH forum topics over the last 24 hours about various medications and, wait for it, nitroglycerine of all things. I have been flagging whatever I have seen as spam, however if you see odd posts (and they are long), please report it!
I hate to name and shame however this behaviour ruins the site and the forum for the rest of us. I hope it is only a case of this person’s account being hacked, rather than a member being deliberately malicious.
Who do we email?

I 100% agree @Hayley644. The forums have always been the heart of BH and thankfully BH was smart enough to limit the points you can get in the forums so that once new members had made their set number of posts and threads their posts calmed down and/or they moved to posting like crazy on articles instead to grab their points but it meant that the forums have always been able to hold on to quality threads and posts. Sadly, with the spammers being given free run of the forums its like unwelcome strangers have entered our internet home and trashed it and now its as if they are more welcome here then we are. Long time members are having their posts go for moderation and never showing up. Posts refuse to post so real and valued members give up but the spammers just post away.

Thanks @Misfortune8, I tried it on one of the articles and I got a message back saying that the user has already been reported…
I have no idea when that user was reported or if BH just blocked the user and not removed their posts…
We’ll find out. -

@Elunia: if your report works, the message should say:
This user has been reported
& the pop-up box won’t disappear, you have to close it manually.

MEMBERS: To report a spam thread, click on the creator’s username to open their public profile page, then click REPORT USER.
We have to write something in the box, so I usually say: This member created a spam thread, “TITLE OF THREAD”, here: [LINK TO THREAD].

OK. So the first time I saw this post, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but now I have seen three of these “where is the administrator” threads with the exact same content almost word for word.
BH please delete them, they have no purpose, especially since the first thread was answered: -

Another one has popped up, this time by @Marinagmf. Surely they’re the same person/organisation using different usernames.

I was initially unsure about the New 100% Soy BLACK AMBER Candles … thread by Sarahlynn22 because their opening post doesn’t contain any links, & there’s no shop/website name.
Then I noticed a link hidden in the Tags box visible below the reply box!
This is definitely SPAM – & sneaky! I’ve reported this user.

Yes, I noticed that they joined Bh in October 2021. Of course, that looked iffy, but I came across a genuine newbie only a few days ago who also joined Bh this month. It made me sus about Sarahlynn22, but that’s not enough to make an accusation.
Yes, I successfully reported Sarahlynn22. There’s no REPORT button on a thread’s opening post, so I opened her profile page & selected REPORT USER. You’d think you’d only have to fill in the reply box on the reporting pop-up if you clicked “Other”, but you have to fill it in if you click “Spam”, too. I thought my spam report didn’t go through, but when I tried a second time, I got a message that I had already reported this user.
