Blogging advice required

I’m thinking of starting a blog. I have the blog content sorted but am confused regarding the technical side of blogging. What is the best platform, website etc (I’m not sure of the technical term) for me to host my blog on?

Any other blogging advice/tips from the experienced bloggers who visit this site would be appreciated.

Also what are the blogging pitfalls I should avoid?

I havent been blogging for long either and i learnt some of my first tricks from people on beauty heaven 🙂 my advice is, look at other peoples blogs so you can get the feel of what you want your layout to be like.
I use blogger and find it fairly straight forward. You can always google things if you’re not sure 🙂
Its all a little bit fiddly at first but it will all come together with time and dedication!
My blog is http://www.maddybffae.blogspot.com/ if you’re interested in checking it out.

Thanks For the suggestions above. I’ve now taken the leap and started my blog : http://www.fabulousandfunlife.blogspot.com.au . I decided to go with the Blogger platform as this seemed the easiest for a non technical person like myself. If anyone has any more blogging advice for me especially after looking at my blog I’d really appreciate it. I feel like I’m starting on such a new adventure, it’s great!
