Your Bad Bellabox Stories (beauty subscription box)

Purchased a subscription for my older teen daughter for Christmas, just had her second Bellabox delivered and I am so dissapointed for her. Other posts on Facebook/Instagram show more interesting and fuller boxes. Are my expectations too high, or do others feel this way? I subscribe to Marie Claire Ageless Beauty box and waiting for my third box, so far I love it.

Well, I feel I must congratulate Bellabox for turning things around for the better.

My October box included a full size La Roche Posay spray SPF50 sunblock, a can of Batiste dry shampoo, and a really nice Shanghai Suzy lipstick, and a full size heel balm plus some samples. Easy worth well over 60 dollars. Pretty sure everyone got a similar box too.

It’s not a one off either – they’ve been sneak-peaking November and it includes 3 x Innisfree skincare samples in multi-use sizes, plus a LUMA makeup product for all subscribers. Having never tried Innisfree or Luma, I’m looking forward to the box.

Hopefully they’ll keep tracking on a decent path and not go backwards to ordinary boxes again

Eep there haven’t been posts on this thread in a while but anyways, I just got my first Bellabox today after subscribing for $10 as promoted, out of curiosity.

Haven’t tested anything yet but I like half of the items, the other half could be better.

• I reaally like the kabuki brush I got from TBX (was worth $24.95)
• Excited to try my peel-off lip tint from monomola
• Got a nice gold kohl liner from DB
• Was just disappointed that the Avon lipstick samples were so tiny, and on Bellabox’s fb page someone complained that they could get those kinds of samples elsewhere easily!
• Got a Physiogel body wash. Ehh not the most exciting thing.
• Some Kerastase Nutritive hair protectant for blow drying…I’ve blow dried for years and never needed protectant so meh.
• Randomly got a protein bar?! Berries & Cream flavoured.
• Also a heel balm sample that I already got from beautyheaven for free a while ago <.< Seriously?? That was probably the most wtf item I got.

Keen to try the things I’m curious about. Not so much the other things that I’m not really interested in. I wish they would just stick to matching our beauty profile/preferences!! Will probably blog about this sometime!

shouldnt have to pay for samples that you could really get for free

also i would constantly receive skin care products for 50 + which i would just give to my mum definitely do not customise it to each individual!

i had it for around 6 months and finally decided to cancel when i moved houses and went vegan, glad i cancelled! saved myself $15 every month.
some of the colours were so unwearable like getting bright blue eyeshadows that did not match my profile at all.
definitely dont think they customise it to each person.
honestly i didnt even use barely any of the products because they were either junk or unusable!

I think my Bellabox parcel is a prize from them, not my December box – I chased up yesterday where a prize I won was & had an email advising me to expect it next week.

I love the Parcel, best Australian box by a mile. The new summer one, I saw MC advertise today, has 13 items & a value of $140+, I get both the regular Parcel & their anti-aging one

My Look Fantastic box arrived today from the UK & includes a 50mls Eve Lom cleanser – I’m truly delighted as I’ve always wanted to try the brand but there’s not any Oz beauty boxes that include it.

Would love Mecca Cosmetica to do a beauty box… but in the interim, at least my Look Fantastic boxes have brands Mecca stock & they send big sizes of them. Last month I received Ren & Ole Henriksen products.

I had a notification today that my Bellabox was on the way, pretty early in the month for once!

Their sneak peaks for December are pretty cool – and they’ve said everyone is going to get both of the products. Boxes will definitely be value for money this month.
