Does anyone know how we can find a particular member’s reviews? I’ve searched by member name, it didnt work for me. Thank you.

I wanted to do some reviews in the lead up to New Year since I have a whole load of drafts & dot points for stuff, but being away from home throughout that period led to me doing diddly squat. Oh well.

Yeah, that’s the article. It was on BH’s main page in their lasted article.

I didn’t find it rushed; I was prepared and had a schedule planned when I read about the bonus points. My goal was 100 reviews so I got pretty close with 80.

Bonus points was such a a great incentive for me to start writing. Before I was had only written 61 reviews in about 2.5-3 years! Which is kinda lame.
Now that I’ve built the momentum, I’m going to keep going!

I managed to write about 10 or 12 a day because I didn’t have anything planned for the holidays – meaning I have no life. Haha.

Today is the first I’ve seen of the double points for reviews!

I read the forums on a daily basis to keep up to date and can’t believe no one had mentioned the double points for reviews until 2 January – they probably did but I’ve skimmed over it!

And I regularly check the blogs but from the 23-27 December too caught up in Christmas preparations and family and friends and missed a few days!
Had I known, in all honesty, I wouldn’t have been able to submit more than a handful of ‘quality’ reviews – not my nature to hand in a rushed review to score 5 extra points!

Good on those beauties who managed to get their reviews done by the end of 2015!

As for me, this is what I was doing at the end of 2015……

I’m up to 119 reviews all up which is amazing! I was at 61 on the 2nd of December. I wrote 80 reviews between 26th and 31st December.

But I still have 41 reviews pending due to the public holidays. Double points, y’all!!!

My last review was submitted on 11.58pm – I hit submit and then watched the fireworks… on tv!

I still have over 100 reviews left to right. So many products used over the years.

misfortune8, I love and appreciate reading ALL of your reviews! It is obvious how much care you take when you write them.

Some of my reviews take a long time to write because I research ingredients that are in them. I want to make sure that when I say something about an ingredient that I’m saying the right thing.

I research ingredients on skincare because I try to avoid many chemicals. Companies keep concocting new ingredients and it’s so tedious trying to research them all!

Bh were so generous with their Christmas bonus points for reviews. I had a stack of half written reviews I hadn’t posted, some were virtually finished but I just wanted to use the product a little longer before posting. I made an effort & cleaned up the drafts to post before the 11:59pm deadline on NYE. Some of the reviews were for products that I didn’t like much or were just meh. I find those reviews most difficult to write because I still want to provide useful information for others who might not have problems with whatever it was I didn’t like about the product. Every review affects the stats, so I uploaded them. There were 22 reviews!

How many reviews did you post during the Christmas double points period?

Still checking “Hot Topics”, not fixed yet, but they’re aware of it & they’re doing what they can.

I just sent an email to info@beautyheaven.com.au to ask about “Hot Topics” again. It hasn’t functioned since it was reintroduced after the site revamp a few months ago. Many regular forumites have dropped off or don’t pop in as regularly. I’ll update when I get a reply, but we’re still in Beautorium, so they’re all busy no doubt.
