Hoping Our Melbourne Beauties Are Safe.

After the horrific events today in Melbourne I wanted to say I hope our beauties are safe with no one directly affected by the horror.

Please take care.

So sad there is a previous thread with this same issue. Hoping all you Melbourne beauties are safe and were not affected by the events this evening.

My heart is breaking for the families who lost their loved ones. Such senseless violence. It makes my heart hurt and my blood boil!

Have no tv, and just found out from you guys. What a tragedy. Very happy to hear all of our beauties are safe and did not have to witness this.

The government has set up a fund to help families affected by this tragedy, please support and donate – we cannot do anything to ease their suffering but we can help to make sure their financial needs are met.

Link to the government website with the bank details:

Oh my God, I was so shocked when we turned on the news here in Perth WA, I never thought to see such a thing in Australia. My heart goes out to all the people involved.
I love Melbourne and it will not stop us from visiting again either. All our love and heartfelt wishes go to those who lost family members or friends and to those poor people who witnessed the awful act.

Just been catching up with threads here now and seen your thread on this Trish – I’ve been chatting about it elsewhere.

When I heard the news of it all, I just felt so saddened for everyone and I immediately thought of lots of BH members that we know live in and work in Melbourne. I felt like it was watching a scene from another country…..not Melbourne.

Now we hear that the 3 month old baby boy has died. Just shocking hearing that news. I can only now pray for the other critical people still fighting.

The saddest part is I think it could have been prevented. He has a history of mental illness, abuse etc… so if he was intervened and/or helped by the police , hospitals etc and given special attention , then he would not have reached the psychotic level. He already had a history so why wasn’t he either in goal or in a hospital before the horrible incident and can we stop future ones with these senseless crimes. Prayers for Melbourne .

So glad to hear our beauties are safe. My co- worker went to Melbourne for the weekend but I’m sure he’s ok. Wrong place, wrong time and lives are changed in an instant – cherish your loved ones always.
