Happy Bastille Day! What’s you’re favourite French product?

It’s Bastille Day, 14th July! Do we have any French members?

I love Champagne! Proper French champagne, not generic sparkling wine. I also love Christian Dior’s original Poison perfume. I’m suspicious about Avène’s glorified water in a can, although I know there are a lot of fans. I adore the surrealist paintings of René Magritte. I loved Voltaire’s philosophical satire “Candide” & Sartre’s existential “The Age of Reason”. I’m even a sucker for those kitschy Eiffel Tower garden ornaments, but not such a sucker that I own one.

So, what’s your favourite French product? Beauty or non-beauty.

I have used Ella Bache` religiously for years and don’t go a day without it. I find the products help control breakouts and keep my skin a lot clearer. I notice when I run out and try alternatives my skin’s always worse so it’s a staple for me.

Writers Jean Paul Satre & Andre Gide. Films Bonjour Tristesse and Betty Blue.
    Movie Star Romy Schneider.

Best thing is their butter. Don’t know why but it is yummiest ever.
