Hair how-to’s by you!

Hi beauties!

Do you love all things hair? Have epic hairstyling skills or want to know how to re-create your all-time fave celeb hairstyle? Then listen up!

bh will be running a ‘Hair how-to by you’ feature in early November, and we want YOU to be the star by showing us how to create your best hairstyle.

There are no limits – it can be whatever style you like. If you’re great at braiding, curling, half-up do’s or anything else, show us how to do it! We want to know how!

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Submit your step-by-step process for creating the look. If you’re a little unsure on how to do this, head to this article and follow the step-by-step layout: http://www.beautyheaven.com.au/hair/styling-products/liven-up-your-locks-with-these-summery-dos/mara-hoffman
  2. Accompany your step-by-step copy with pictures or a short video on how to create the style. If you’re submitting images, please remember take your photos in landscape, and if you want to submit a video how-to, upload it to YouTube first and then send us the link.

  3. Send your step-by-step tutorial and images or link to your video to: astrid@beautyheaven.com.au with the subject line “Hair how-to’s by you’, and don’t forget to include your bh member name.

OR if you’ve seen a celebrity hairstyle that you just can’t stop obsessing over and want to know exactly how to do it, send me the image and I’ll ask a hair expert for you! How easy is that!

And just to inspire you to submit your ahh-mazing tutorials, if we end up featuring yours on the site, we’ll send you out an awesome prize packed to the brim with all the best beauty goodies.

    Usually I leave my hair down, in a pony tail or in a twisted bun as I’m not the best with hairstyles. I look forward to seeing everyone else’s creations.

    Can’t wait. I would love to know how to do a proper fish braid. There’s a million videos online but I can never get it right in my own hair.

    This would be great if I had a model, I’m not into selfies. I haven’t even tried to work out how to take pics on my tablet. I do lots of different types of plaits. I might have a think about uploading. But how do you take a pic of the back of your head? I don’t want to have to recruit someone to help.
