Dresses

Hi everyone! So I’m going to a wedding in a couple of weeks and I’m still looking for a dress. Time is running out since I want to get some new shoes too but need the dress first so the shoes match. I just can’t seem to find one that I really like. Does anyone have any suggestions where I might find a cocktail/party dress?
Thanks xox

I volunteer at the local op shop and today came in some lovely dress and the sell them for $5.00 how great and as we know some of us only like to wear our dress out once so this is a great way to do it

For cheap dresses, I look on Ebay for a brand that I like. They’re cheap because they’ve been worn before, but you can get some “New with tags” dresses which are more expensive, but can be cheaper than RRP. Another downside is that you can’t try it on…Also I find Asos quite affordable as well and have some cute styles.

misfortune8 – wow, you make it sound so easy to just whip up a skirt/pants! I love pockets in skirts and don’t understand why more brands don’t make pockets with skirts 🙁 So I mainly buy skirts from brands like Cue and Portmans which can cost a pretty penny! Good tip with the pants – I really dislike how pants fit on me so I wish I could tailor my own.

A local store that stock several different types of quality made branded clothing from trakkies to suits. It was my last hope! My other half actually found the dress (i think he got sick of me going on about it tbh)!

P.s. Sewing a button on is as far as my sewing skills go unfortunately but that’s awesome you can create your own outfits misfortunate8!

If you wanted a more party dress, you could try Ally Fashion. I bought a dress there that I wore for a 21st and engagement party. It also really depends on how dressy the wedding is and location and stuff.

There’s always places like Bardot, Sportsgirl, Glue, City Beach, Forever New, hell try Target, you never know.

But definitely check out the Iconic, I’ve seen some great stuff there.
