Do you care if a beauty product comes in tube or jar?

I’ve been reading and thinking about this so I thought I’d get your opinions.

I know that some people don’t like a product if it comes in a jar. But would that stop you from actually purchasing and using the product even though it works really well for you. (Maybe you tried a sample in a tube).

I am not too particular so currently I don’t mind jar or tube. But that may change.
Thanks beauties 🙂

The packing doesn’t stop me to buy beauty products though, but I would never prefer tube or jar.

Probably tubes as you would use less and be easier to use than sticking your hand in a jar.

The packaging never stops me from purchasing something. I do not prefer (but okay with) jars. I seldom alternate products so I use up products rather quickly after opening.

I save little jars from GWP as they I recycle them so I can fit my entire routine (~15 products or so) into my gym toiletries bag

i don’t like either. i prefer Airless bottles or airless Jars. That way it is more hygenic and less air=less oxidation of my product

Have discussed the different packaging here:

I like pump packs for hygiene reasons and it gives me more control over the amount I use, particularly with cleansers, however getting the last bit out can be a challenge. If my moisturisers were available in a smaller tube or a larger size pot I would go for the larger quantity if it was better value.

Tubes are more convenient for travel, but I prefer jars as there always seems to be some wastage with tubes 🙁

fingerdipping is more risky to bacteria., perhaps a small jar is ok as it will be used up quick

Like Pink Sugar, I have long nails, and find jars very inconvenient.

I prefer tubes or pump bottles.

If it’s something I LOVE then I can deal with a pot or if it’s hair or body products then I don’t have an issue but face care products and makeup in pots are a pain unless it’s something like a Paint Pot that needs to be sealed tight and can’t be dispensed any other way. I don’t understand putting liquids and lotions in a pot or even a tall bottle like some foundations, you end up exposing the product to air and bacteria and even other makeup that’s on your hands. Plus it can get messy and I find I can use too much product and waste it, in a good pump pack it’s very easy to control the amount of product you use, I find that if I have to dip into a pot I almost always use too much.

I personally don’t like jars because I have long nails and every time I scoop out the product it gets under my nails and that’s just gross and wasteful! Also products in a jar get exposed to air and light more so it’d go off and/or lose it’s strength quicker than products in a tube.

However if something worked incredibly well I’d find a way to work around these things.

At the moment I don’t own many jar products.
