Has anyone used a sunscreen with zinc?

I’ve just heard on a news report that suncreens with zinc are better than normal sunscreens. I was just wondering if anyone had used these, and if anyone could remomend a brand? I need something that I can apply on myself before work each day, so something not tinted.

    i really like invisible zinc

So do I if only they could tweak their formulations to exclude the nasty ingredients it has added, so disappointing 🙁

has anyone tried Skinceuticals UV defense sunblocks? I tried researching online and it has some rave reviews on MUA. Can’t seem to find details on a stockist here in Australia though. Does everyone who get their skinceuticals products get it online?

I get mine from The Facial Company 🙂

Cheers Mel! Great site by the way! 🙂

Argh! I’ve been neglecting my suncare routine mainly because I have an obsession on staying white and I believed that wearing sunscreen makes me tan more easily. It feels like I’m lathering on some oil onto my skin and letting the sun do the cooking.

Anyway, I’ll stop being bad now that I have read up on all the nasties of UV rays! I am noticing that my right arm which is constantly exposed to the sun has much more “spots” than the left. So obviously sun does damage.

So, at the moment, I am deciding between:
    – Cancer Council’s Ultra sunscreen
    – Woolworths Select Clear Zinc
    – Auscreen Clear Zinc

There’s an interesting review on the Woolies Clear Zinc:

    Can’t decide!!!!

I agree with what Mel said, Im just sticking on board with the IZ until I find something similar minus the bad stuff. But chemical sunscreens 9 times out of 10 irritate my skin so I dont even bother trying them anymore.

When picking a sunscreen these days I wouldn’t dream of using a chemical one, yucko, I don’t even like titanium dioxide, its zinc all the way for me, just really wish there were some more affordable zinc options without the nasties on board. I was devastated to hear that IZ is not one of them 🙁
