Bad Sunburn help!

Okay so on the weekend I went camping and of course forgot sunscreen. Now my back and face is sunburnt and it stings and is itchy! I just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas on how to make it not so itchy and how to make the redness go away faster! At the moment i’m using this random paw paw extract juice or something on my skin, and Palmer’s aloe vera gel. Both are alright but aren’t helping as much as i’d like.

aloe vera, any sort of moisturiser (even just sorbolene or something will do, to stop your skin drying out too much) and yes remember to drink more water than usual because burns dehydrate you!

Aloe Vera Gel or Calamine lotion. Put your aloe vera gel or body moisturiser in the fridge for a cooling effect and drink plenty of water to keep hydrated.

I’ve been in the exact same scenario. My sister recommended Sunzone’s Aloe After-Sun Spray. It felt great on my skin and relieved the sunburn and dry peeling within just a couple of days. I definitely recommend giving it a try! I usually buy their products on Amazon but I believe they have other retailers on their website.

Nivea has a lotion for after-sun care. I used it once and it was good. If you want something that is “right there” in front of you, ice helps… as crazy and painful as that sounds… Good luck! Sunburns are the worst.

Does anyone remember Curaburn? The young ones wouldn’t, but anyone 40 plus possibly would. It was seriously awesome stuff. You haven’t been able to get it for years. I have no idea what was in it, or why it was taken off the market.

My partner likes to use the Banana Boat Soothing Aloe Mist after sun spray, he also keeps it in the fridge.
Before he discovered the spray he really liked the Garnier Ambre Solaire After Sun SOS Sunburn balm, which soothes and relieves overheated skin.

Hadnt thought of the aveene water. I’ve used aloe Vera from the plant and am intending on buying some aloe Vera spray to pop in the fridge incase of sunburn but burns in general. I didn’t even know you could buy it in a spray until recently lol..so behind the times!

Get yourself a can of Avene water, and put it in the fridge. Spray it on your sunburnt areas as often as you can. It’s very soothing.
