Whats your daily skin care routine?

I feel like using the same skin care products for an extended period of time has a negative effect on my skin. I like to try change up my products (usually one at a time incase of reactions) every 6-9 months. this allows me to try out so many more skin care products than I would other wise!

At the moment my skin care routine is
Face Wash – Simple Spotless Skin Triple Action Face Wash
Toner – Formula 10.0.6 So Totally Clean Deep Pore Cleanser
Moisturiser – Sukin Facial Moisutiser
Currently inbetween eye moisturisers – any recommendation would be appreciated!

Exfoliator – Simple Kind to Skin Smoohting Face Scrub
Masks – Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask
– Formula 10.0.6 Pores be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask

Tell me your skin care essentials and indulgence products!

I’ve been struggling with acne problem and dry skin (weird combo, as I’m always told) and I’ve been trying on more skin care regime than I can remember – from all-natural, drugstore to high end products.

After the trial and error, this routine seems to work wonders to my skin:
    – Shu Uemura cleansing oil
    – Apple cider vinegar as toner (just mix ACV with distilled water with 1: 1 ratio and use just like toner)
    – SK-II facial treatment essence
    – Kiehl’s acne blemish control cream
    – Kiehl’s ultra facial cream

I also use Frank coffee scrub twice a week and I like how it smooths my skin.

I’m working for a mystery shopping company which works with many skincare&cosmetics brands, so I get a lot of free products just by visiting a pre-determined skincare/cosmetic counter, do consultation and purchase, and then fill in an online questionnaire after the visit. I then get reimbursed for my purchase (can be any products I need). 🙂

If you’re interested, we’re currently in need for mystery shoppers for a skincare brand in Ballarat, Bendigo, Frankston, Dubbo, Shellharbour City, Wagga Wagga, Casuarina, Mackay, North Rockhampton, Aitkenvale, Bunbury, Karrinyup, Clarkson, Rockingham, and Hillarys. If you’re there or know someone from there, please contact me to jeunike@albatrossasia.com for more info 🙂

My skincare routine is always changing. Just recently i have discovered the joys of using Serums. before i was quite sceptical on using them i thought they were for older women with loads of wrinkles. I have been using a serum from Pestle & Mortar http://www.pestleandmortarcosmetics.com/hyaluronic-serum-2/ So far i have noticed a huge improvement in my skin .

What i am looking for now is suggestions for a new cleanser i have been using ‘Nude perfect Cleanse’ but am looking to change things up. Any suggestions ?

In the shower I’ll start off with St. Ives’ Green Tea Scrub, which is a fairly natural exfoliator that’s gentle and great for everyday use to get rid of deep set makeup and other gunk.

I’ll then use Phisohex’s Antibacterial face wash, which basically sanitises my face! It keeps the pH level of my face the same and doesn’t dry it out or make it become really oily afterwards.

To finish, with a dry face, I’ll use Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost gel. I love this stuff. I never used to moisturise as I hated the greasy feeling moisturisers gave me. This stuff sinks in right away with no residue and leaves you face feeling so refreshed and hydrated. It’s my one true love 😛

I don’t know if that comment above is spam or what? Anyways, just wanted to add that over just bought QV face wash in an attempt to overhaul my skin care. So far so good. Has anyone else used QV face products? There were lots of positive reviews on here.

Oooh skincare this year has been pet project and I’ve been slowly working on improving my skincare to make it a bit more long term focussed (i.e preparing myself for my 30’s!) I’m not quite at my ultimate routine yet but here’s what I’m on at the moment – it’s a mish mash of gifts, purchases and freebies.

    AM –

    • Either my Mario Badescu Glycolic cleanser or L’oreal Skin Perfection Gel Cream dependent only whether I’m at the sink or in the shower first thing.
    • People for Plants spray toner. I’m not even sure if it does anything tbh! I got it from a priceline freebie so I’m using it up.
    • Olay Spf 30+ Complete Defense. Hate this stuff.

    PM –

    • Makeup removal is meant to be Lush Superbland however sometimes I’m lazy and it’s Sukin Micellar Water
    • Proper cleanse – either of the two AM cleansers. Usually with my clarisonic.
    • Mario Badescu Glycolic Toner
    • L’oreal Skin Perfection Serum (almost gone. won’t rebuy)
    • Palmers Eventone Face Oil
    • Trilogy Vital Moisturiser (I might have the name wrong)
    • L’oreal Age Perfect Eye Balm

    That looks like a lot!

As for the ASAP – I haven’t tried their products at all I’m afraid! Very glad to see the beads are biodegradable. Apparently beads like a lot of cheaper brands do are really harmful.

Just bumping up this thread instead of creating a new one. What’s everyone’s daily skin care routine? What products are you using?

I’m currently using up old products I have , from numerous competitions won on here. But I’m interested in starting a new routine. I’m particularly interested in exfoliators! I’m thinking of purchasing the ASAP microfoliant, anyone used this one?

I used to have lots of cystic acne and used lots and lots of products on my face, but then I started going the natural route and it’s been a lot nicer to me in return 🙂 I use goats milk soap to wash my face twice a day, and MooGoo’s acne cream cleanser right after, and if my skin’s still feeling dehydrated (I used to have oily skin, but now it’s just normal-combination) I’ll use some QV cream. I still get spots around that time of the month, and I just use tea tree oil to spot treat it and the big ones normally go in two/three days. I’m really lazy with masks, even though I think they’re fun and relaxing, and same with exfoliating. I like to use rice powder for the latter, and it makes your skin soooo smooth, and it’s good for acne prone skin and really cheap too 🙂

I purchased a Clarisonic Mia 2 at the end of last year and absolutely loving it! I’ve been using it with the Clarisonic brand Deep Pore Daily Cleanser and every couple of days changing it up and using the Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash. I’ve also been using some Rosehip Oil to combat some dryness I’ve been experiencing with us heading into Winter now. I don’t really have a favourite moisturizer at the moment… I am finding them all really oily so any recommendations would be awesome!

Haha…I’m a bit like that too. I was using ALL Nude By Nature, but then I went into a bit of Revlon and Elizabeth Arden for makeup. But I still try to stick with my Nude By Nature makeup. The Benzac AC is great for acne. I’ve been using it for about a month now and the results are awesome! I didn’t have a lot of acne to fix, but it did fix the little that I had! 🙂
