What are your favourite ‘multipurpose’ products?

Hi all!

I’m keen to hear about people’s favourite multipurpose products.

Do you have a body cream or lotion that doubles up as a face cream? Or a face cream that you use as a makeup remover? Shampoo as body wash? Lip balm as eye cream? Lipstick as blush? A product that does all of these things and more?

I love to use products creatively, and I’m always open to new ideas. What are your favourite multipurpose products?

If I’m going away, I like to take a small bottle of Al’chemy shampoo. I also use it as a body wash.

I recently bought a lovely natural cheek and lip balm by Ere Perez called Clever Carrot Cheek & Lip Balm in the shade Harmless. I’m surprised by how pigmented it is.

The only other multi-purpose products I buy are natural balms by brands such as Kosmea, Trilogy, Carla Oates, Antipodes etc.

For multipurpose I like Ora’s Amazing Herbal products.
I use the All Purpose Salve for wounds, dry spots, rashes, raw areas, psoriasis etc
I use the citrus grove body butter on my face (really dry skin) and body and it doesn’t make my skin oily

Liquid gold by alpha h. Use it as a toner but it’s also an intensive treatment for your face that gets rid of blemishes and helps reduce scarring. Plus paw paw ointment for everything. Coconut oil as a body wash and a moisturiser and a teeth whitener too.

I don’t multi-use products so much as repurpose them for other things if they don’t work out as well as I had hoped. I have a Savvy liquid lipstick that looks hideous on my lips but works great as a liquid/cream blush on the cheeks. It’s a bit too pigmented to apply directly onto the cheeks but if I use a stippling brush and swirl the product on the back of my hand first, it gives me a nice pink flush. I also use a dud, low coverage concealer as an eye primer before eye shadow and it works great!

The biggest thing is I’m a multi-purpose balm addict. Lanolips, trilogy, pawpaw, Lush, I love them all and use them a lot.

I carry my Josie Maran Lip and Cheek oil with me everywhere. It isn’t the easiest product to use (well… I find it easy but my sister doesn’t)but it’s gorgeous and means I can freshen up my lips and cheeks wherever.

Also liquid illuminators! (I’m currently using Josie Maran… I’m going through a phase) They can be used in so many more ways than powder. Mixed with foundation, mixed with body lotion or alone as a highlight… gorgeous.

I’m interested to try The Body Shop’s dry oil which they say can be used on hair body and face. Intriguing!
