The hype about St Ives.

I read so much on here about how great St Ives is and in particularly the apricot scrub. I’ve tried pretty much everything there is to buy in stores for my acne prone skin, as I’m growing up my pimples are going away but I still get them sometimes, not to mention my scars do not budge. So I’ve tried every generic brand and even went for Proactiv which did nothing for me.
I’d always surpassed St Ives because I’m a sucker for presentation and I go for something that LOOKS like it will work well for me. So I decided to go out and buy it. As soon as I washed it off of my skin I knew that it would be my new long term product. My skin felt softer than ever. It’s been a while now and this product ACTUALLY fights my blemishes and lightens my scars unlike all the others I’ve tried promising that. I’m so happy to have found this scrub and my skin is looking amazing. I feel much more confident now.

I’m just curious to know what other peoples experiences are with St Ives?

I have sensitive skin so the apricot scrub is way to harsh for my face. I do love it as a foot scrub if I am doing a DIY pedi. Price line sell travel size bottles of the stuff if youre keen to try it x

Haha, I do the same with mine. It’s actually a decent foot scrub but far too rough for my face. I’ve tried a few other scrubs like the Gaia Exfoliant and Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub but I prefer the St Ives Green Tea Scrub over all of them.

I used to always use the st ives apricot scrub. I went through many tubes of that but my skin was okay back then. These days my skin can’t handle that scrub or the green tea one. I have been using the asap one and that’s the only thing that’s helped my skin. the asap one is really gentle but I make sure I press verrrrrry lightly when using it so I dont aggravate my skin any further. Grrr to spots!

I love the St Ives Warming scrub. It smells delish and really makes my skin feel clean.

Really? I haven’t tried that. What are the particle size like?

The apricit scrub… so so. I find that if I use plain old rock salt (i know, i’m crazy!!) I get the same results

I really like the green tea scrub, not soo much the cleanser though. It really brightens my skin and leaves it feeling really soft.
However I am going to give the asap products a go next as they sound even better.
Soo glad the st ives worked for you Gorejessx3, it really is the best out of the other supermarket brands!

I actually hate the Apricot Scrub. It’s too harsh and grainy to use on my face plus it really dries out my skin. Now i’m left to use up the tube when I need to exfoliate my body or feet.

I have the Green Tea Scrub and it’s soooo much nicer. It doesn’t dry my skin out as much, has a gorgeous smell, and the exfoliating beads are much finer so it’s much easier to use. My boyfriend loves using it too.

I love the st ives apricot scrub, I used to use it when I was younger and then a few months ago i decided to get it again, its such good value 🙂 I didn’t get the blemish fighting one though, I got the other one, can’t remember what its called…but i don’t have any acne. I also have the st ives olive cleanser which is a really nice gentle cleanser and i’ve had it months and use one pump a day and its still over half full!

I love the st ives apricot scrub, well I used to love it until I started using one by ASAP. St ives are really good for the price you pay!

I love the feel of the green tea scrub but don’t like how it foams up so much and dry’s my face out to the max.

Have you tried Biore, they have an anti blackhead warming cleanser and it works wonders! It seriously digs out blackheads on the nose and chin etc. I use it on my bf once a week and it really helps his nose. After using it on him, I can see all the little pores with nothing in them.

I also love using the microderm exfoliator polish. It’s amazing!

I am currently using the biore ice cleaner and spf 15+ moisturiser.. love them! I haven’t tried the blackhead cleanser as i was worried it may not work.. thanks for the advice though will try it
