Im only just catching up on all of this. I still want to try Sunday Riley but I didnt realise that there were fake reviews.

I’ve always wanted to try Sunday Riley but wanted to clear majority of my skincare stash before trying. Then the reviews scandal hit and now I’m unsure if I want to fund that sort of brand regardless of the quality of their products.

Not only did they force their employees to submit fake reviews on Sephora, they painstakingly reminded them to use the account to also review other products as well so it would not look as obvious that the accounts were fake, and also asked them to use VPNs so multiple fake accounts could not be attributed to the same IP address = DODGY AS…

I find their response to being caught out especially un-repentant.

Are the products really that good? Please convince me. The price tag is already a deterrent. Right up there with their frenemy Drunk Elephant, who has been known to throw shade at other brands.

I’ve found good genes really good, it’s just so expensive.

Have you guys seen the review scandal?

Basically SR have admitted to asking employees to write fake reviews on Sephora etc!!!

I am now a huge Sunday Riley good genes convert. I wasn’t convinced but I’ve been using it once a week and I think it’s like so amazing. I wake up with the most incredible glowing skin ever.

Might be the same one chicklet ?it smelt like bad cooking oil. I couldn’t wait to wash my hands as I felt like gagging..just wondering if tester was bad? I read ingredients and it sounds amazing but the smell…I should really use up my little oil collection before they go rancid

I was going to splurge on an oil today. Love rose so was drawn to flora but the tester smelt rancid and smelt like bad cooking oil.. I’m guessing they have a short shelf life after opening due to purity and quality and probably the tester has been sitting there for ages..was a little off putting…a real shame because I really wanted to love this…has anyone tried flora?? I was expecting a more rose scent? The Mecca store was so busy so didn’t ask for assistance.

So sad, I have to throw the 1/3 of what is left in my Good Genes bottle, it just hasn’t been working for me. It’s been tingling, even stinging my skin 🙁 so disappointed…

After Simon from The Skincare Obsessive pointed me to Good Genes well over a year ago, I finally got my hands on the Power Couple Kit from Mecca Cosmetica in April or so. I’ve just started using Luna Night Oil as of Monday (13/6) evening, so far, so good.
I have yet to use GG because I had a Pelactiv in-salon Lactic Acid treatment yesterday as part of product training in Beauty Therapy, so it’s going to probably be a week before I introduce Good Genes into the routine, but this is so exciting!
