Skincare advice

I am in the market for a new skincare range.

For the record, I have very fair, oily, young skin. I splurged on Dermalogica only to have it break my face out worse than ever before. It took six months and a prescription cream to clear it up! Never again…

I’m currently using Thursday Plantation after reading great reviews, however am not seeing any results. If anything, I have had more blemishes appear whilst using it.

Does anybody have any recommendations of any drugstore or high-end skincare products?

racheljade did you look at the Dermalogica ingredients? Might be a good idea, for example I use Monsia and on their website there is a list of all the ingredients in the cleanser, toner, day moisturiser and intense night repair cream. You could then compare it with the Dermalogica ingredients and if they are the same you would steer clear. Hope this makes sense.

I’ve had really combo skin (partly oily, partly dry and flaky) and acne for 15 years now, and 6 months ago I switched to Alpha-H. I think it is brilliant, it has really brought balance back to my skin. My skin is the best it’s been in over a decade. I have also quit sugar and all processed food, I only eat low carb and I’ve been getting acupuncture each month so maybe that helped the acne as well. Still, the Alpha-H has made a huge difference. It’s pricey but worth every cent.

I like Clinique products and they have a range for oily skin types.
