Salicylic Peels?

I am just curious if any of you beauties had had a salicylic peel and how you found it worked for your skin? Did you go to a dermatologist and what % did they use? Did you have redness or a rash?

I am interested in getting a peel done for some stubborn blackheads and hormonal jawline spots and am looking to hear of other people’s experiences! 😉

I’ve only used cleansers with salicylic acid. I wouldn’t recommend peels because thats something you can use only once a week. I used NS Clear Action Cleanser and over time, my blackheads came out naturally and it has helped a lot of my other friends as well. Hence why I would recommend a good cleanser than peels.

If you get pimples on your jawline, that usually means stress rather than hormones. I believe it’s only when it’s below your lips that it’s related to hormones. I would suggest finding out the cause of your stress, drink more water, get more sleep, eat leafy vegetables and keep your skin clean.

Hi! I know this reply is a bit late – did you end up getting one?
I’ve had an Ultraceuticals BHA peel (20% salicylic acid) a few times now – I’d had peels before, but I definitely have found this to be my favourite for blackheads and large pores. Be prepared for some down time though!!! Takes about 5-7 days for my skin to feel and look kind of normal. Keep things very gentle during this satage – no active ingredients/chemical exfoliants, lots of basic moisturiser, high spf sunscreen and gently use a baby’s face washer with cream cleanser for the really flaky areas.
After this though – skin is sooo smooth and clear!
