Rosehip oil brands

Hi beauties. I’ve discovered rosehip oil this year and the first brand that I tried was Akin. Which I loved – it helped my skin a lot and didn’t cause breakouts (I was concerned of to this!). I was soooo happy to get a couple more of the Akin Pure Radiance Certified Organic Rosehip Oil for free in priceline’s recent skin care goody bag. I’ll continue using this particular oil.

But I was wondering if the brand of oil makes a difference to the results? Have you noticed any differentiation from brand to brand? Besides the price! I’ve been told that as long as it’s organic and cold pressed, the brand doesn’t matter.

Any thoughts?

Does anyone use an oil AND a serum? I have my favourite serum so I have been put off the oil for a while now.

RHO assisted in smoothing out lines on my neck so I think a little bit on your neck twice a day is ok as I have dry skin , and my neck is nice and soft 🙂

I agree. Facial oils have helped control my oil prone skin. I found I was drying my skin out, trying to combat the oiliness but that just made my skin produce more oil. I use the Botani olive oil skin serum (it looks similar to rose hip oil) and it’s worked wonders! I also use rose hip oil and I’ve just started experimenting with macadamia oil. Love them 🙂

I heard a lot of good things about rosehip oil, but haven’t dare to try 🙁

If I’m having acne/pimple should I use it? Or wait until they all clear?

I’ve bought A’kin rose hip oil to try, have only tried Triology & Rosehipplus.
A’kin has a really deep orange colour in comparison to Triology & Rosehipplus.

I’ve been using Trilogy which I love. I have also tried Kora’s Luxurious Rose Oil, it has noni and a few other ingredients and I absolutely loved it too, however not sure it’s worth the price.Trilogy works just as well and is $30 cheaper.

It’s great hearing about other brands, I’m might give them a try.

No I haven’t tried it, doesn’t sound as if there’s any nasties. Pricelinecwill certainly have a tester. Thankyou so much.

Thankyou for that Petal. It’s such a nuisance to have this sensitivity and you would think natural oils would be ok. Anything other than the Botani Eye Treatment seems to leave me with stinging sore eyes and of course that’s where the wrinkles are! I should add that the rosehip oil I have is only put on my face and neck and never near my eyes.
