Hi Bec, I think my previous cleansers were drying out my skin! So my face was producing more oil to compensate. You don’t want that squeeky clean feeling, a lot of cleansers strip too much away. I’ve been using Sodashi clay cleanser with lime, really good but quite expensive. I alternate between this and a much cheaper Sukin Cream Cleanser. And I always moisturise, usually with Sukin’s Facial Moisturiser and on some days I use jojoba or rosehip oil which I think has helped with scars. Over the past few months with this routine my face has been much better, clearer, not so oily, soft after moisturising and less of those pesky bumps!

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Alison952,

Just wondering what methods you have found to clear up your acne? I am pretty sure I have a similar type to what you would have had, and was going to try the Moogoo cleansing cream, but if you have any suggestions I’d really appreciate it 🙂

I’m same as Neeky Noo, it’s not bad but I didn’t find any noticeable difference after using it for several months. To be fair though, I don’t think the product suited my type of acne (hormonal, small bumps on chin) which I’ve managed to clear using other methods.

I went through 2 bottles of the Acne Cleansing cream and then gave up as I thought it was actually too rich for my combination skin and I seemed to breaking out more. This cream was great on ingrown hairs though.

I use the anti-aging moo goo cream now and I’ve had less breakouts then ever before on this one.

As a note, I only have very mild acne, with breakouts along my jaw line and chin.

Well although it is good for some people. I have found many are allergic because of moogoo cleansing cream.

I’ve been using the moogoo cleansing cream for a few weeks now… i haven’t noticed any difference in my acne – if anything its getting worse (but im not going to blame the product on that) … It’s an amazing moisturiser and leaves your skin silky soft.. i just dont think it should be targeted as an acne cream! Otherwise, its an cream with natural products – good because it doesnt have any nasty chemicals – but if you’re looking for a cure for your acne… i’d give something else a try.

I ‘ve been using the Acne Cleansing cream in addition to the oil cleanser for combination skin for 8 days now.

I can’t say my skin has cleared up, but it is looking better and I hope it’s because of these products and will continue. The cleansing cream does take a while to massage in but seems to be hydrating my skin pretty well (the cleanser dried it a bit initially, so I have added some extra oil to ‘dilute’ the drawing oils a bit).

I do like the smell of both products though (all essential oil-y) and the oil cleanser process of steaming is very relaxing to do right before going to bed.

The cleansing cream certainly hasn’t irritated my skin, so I think it is worth a try. It’s better than using harsh chemicals on your skin.

Yes I think it is meant to be a long term solution rather than a product to use for existing acne. I just bought it online and have used it for about a week now – smells lovely and seems to hydrate my skin really well without feeling oily or sticky. I thought I would need an extra layer of their Full Cream or MSM to keep my skin feeling moisturised so that was a nice surprise! I do have a horrible breakout right now but will keep you posted on the longer term benefits of the cream.
