Hot cloth cleansers?

Hello beauties,

Been trolling around youtube and i have been following pixiwoo religiously. Recently i caught up on a few videos and there was a lot of emphasis on hot cloth cleansers. I’m all of a sudden curious. Does anyone know of any brands that sell products such as the hot cloth cleansers, from the cheap to the slightly pricey (not going to spend over 50 bucks on it) somewhere within Australia? I hear Boots No7 is great but i don’t think its available in Australia?

I sound a little old fashion here but buying things on the net creeps me out a bit (the whole bit where my details are there) as parents has had bad experiences. But! if there is absolutely no where in Australia that sells it net links would be appreciated! Anyways hope someone can help!

Sometimes when I get facials the facialist, in between masks and cleansing, applies a warm cloth over my face which is infused with certain oils or a potion designed to do stuff to the skin – ie depending on the type of facial, open pores, calm skin, revitilise etc.

I have also heard about applying a warm damp cloth over the face while you are wearing a mask to aid absorption. Just make sure it is wrung properly so it does not dilute or mess up the mask.

    Hello Ladies,

Sorry i’ve been neglecting this site. Been running around like a headless chook preparing for the big x-mas day! eeeekkkk.

Emzaau: I think i might consider the Lush range! sounds fab! In particular I’m loving the price tag! Will probably get it after new years to test run and see how i go and keep you updated, that’s for sure.

Yuki44: Hmmm not sure about the oil cleanser at this point. My skin is having a bad breakout year it seems. I had been absolutely clear of pimples for about 2-3 years and all of sudden my skin decided to have an anti rage of pimples. I’m currently steering away from anything that is TOO oily but at the same time understand that I must not overwhelm my skin by drying it out! hence why im looking for a creamy kind of cleanser which has previously worked on my skin prior to the break outs! Thanks though 🙂

And for the rest of the laides a hot cloth cleanser is a creamy cleanser that can be suitable for all skin types (e.g liz earle product). With this there are two processes you go through using the hot cloth cleanser method. Phase 1 is to cleanse the skin with the product, phase two is the polish your skin with the muslin cloth to gently dislodge dead skin cells.

Hope this helps explain it a bit! If i don’t hear from anyone that has helped with this thread before x-mas! MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR :D. Thanks everyone for the tips! <3

moogoo oil cleanser is great when you use it with a damp cloth and it’s not too expensive either

Most of the brands I use have their own cloths to use with their active cleansers, like ASAP, AlphaH and Dermalogica, not exactly sure the type you are referring too though??

I used the eve lom cleanser! the face cloth it comes with is like a hessian cloth.

You can get Eve Lom cleanser+cloth at Mecca Cosmetica. It’s ridiculously expensive though.

Otherwise you can try ‘Ultrabland’ from Lush. Same logic – the cleanser is quite heavy and rich so requires cleansing with cloth also.

I do enjoy this type of cleansing because it will remove all your make up (including eyes) too.

Im not sure exactly what you have been watching or about this trend, but I use a face washer in really warm water and leave it on my face for 2 minutes to open up my pores.

Interested in hearing more about what you are after!
